My last run is in my sig. haven't been back since. motor blew at 87K miles.

Currently trying to get the Atkins rebuild running right. Has a large street port. Will put my TID on and RB turbo back on when the motor's broken in.

I ran a 9.221 @ 79.92 at the local 1/8 mile event at Qualcomm stadium on street tires.

89 TII with S4 short block/S5 manifolds/turbo
Microtech LT-8
255lph fuel pump
RB 3" full system
1bar boost on stock turbo

That is with wheel hop through 2nd and wheel spin through 3rd gear.

17.1 with my 90 GXL, intake/exhaust... H-rated tires. hardly anything to be drag racing. however, it was my first time, there's still a lot to learn about my car for dragging.

1/4 mile time : (where is that symbol for infinity?)
mods: removed engine/drivetrain (lighten)
I might put an engine back in if I feel these mods dont add up to power, mabey a turbo engine. they sound neat.

i took my car out to the track the other night, i could only get a 14.06 out of it, but i suck at driving. I was getting really bad wheel hop in 1st, and no traction in 1st or 2nd. I also kept hitting the damn 3rd gear gate because i need a torque brace and some new shifter bushings.

There was a guy there with an stock port N/A running 14.5's, was that anyone on this forum?

1988 SE Stock port,
Alternator only
RB headers ported,
2.5" custom bent SS
Custom intake
1500 CFM filter
4" cold ram air duct
Sealed air box
2187 lbs confirmed. Since then removed another 128 lbs.

14.45 @ 98 on street tires.
13.7 @ 102 with 14" slicks " no proof of this run"

I am currently adding to the car.
Ported S5 intake
550 secondary injectors
5th & 6th injectors
125 wet shot

I feel this setup is good for 300 hp @ the wheels..with plently of fuel..I hope so, I am also installing a EGT for tuning later..

This is sort of irrelevant, but what do you guys think I'd hit in the 1/4 mile when my car is back together? I'm shooting for at least 400WHP this spring in a 87 TII.

Alright, you guys say that RX-7's can't be drag cars (well, most of you) but my neighbors RX-7 that I mainly built myself (which is why I just bought myself an 88 N/A) is running around, well, I'd say 400-500 hp to the wheels. Yes, wheels, not crank. Second, I was there when it ran a smokin' 10.93 on semi-slicks. He's not running to many mods, just a custom 3 inch turbo-back exhaust with custom mufflers and 3.5 inch tips, an S5 turbo with insides completly gutted out and buffed up for heavy boost. He's running about 17 psi. I also installed on it a custom (when I say custom in all this, I mean made by our local car shop special for this car) air intake with a k&n cone filter, all the emmisions stuff ripped out, lightweight rims (he used this car for drifting) and gutted interior. The battery is in the rear hatch area, he has a frontmount intercooler (that was a very hard task for me to do alone), electric fan, Monster cable unit, GReddy boost controller, new ecu (so we can raise the boost, duh) and to top it all off, complete suspension package. Now tell me RX-7's weren't meant for drag racing. Come on, Tell me!

Hey hey I know, I know, I'm posting quickly again. Just wanted to say he has now installed a new turbo, he didnt tell me until about 10 minutes ago, so, it was right after I posted. He is now running a T3/T4 Hybrid turbo, and has jumped it to 18 PSI, so we can expect some much quicker times. And for the race I talked about above he had an upgraded fuel management system, I just dunno what, he doesn't seem to know what kind it is himself. Well, I'm off to install my intake and exhaust on my car. I want to turbocharge this thing so badly..It itches for..boost..but I want N/A power! Peace.

I am so glad to see I'm not the only driver with slow R/T.

Bone stock 91 turbo, fully loaded (tools, spare, jack etc.)
First time ever at a drag strip.
R/T .787
60' 2.24
1/8 9.77 @ 71.89
1/4 15.15 @ 91.91

I ran 15.4@99.3mph in my N/A with just full exhaust and intake had pretty soft 16's on there so there wasn't much tire slip. took all the little stuff out to save wieght, like spare and tools. it was an SE model so it was already pretty light. I had a .3 reaction time which I guess is pretty good. the time I ran before I had a .9 so I figured maybe I'll just leave after it turns yellow and I hit the green perfect.

I got 9.8 in my 89GXL...

2.1 launch but once I hit second I had to let off the gas three times because my generic clutch would not grab. Capable of low 9s...mods are in sig without the flywheel, clutch and 100lbs weight reduction. I think I was at 148rwp on that run. I had 158rwp before it poped couple weeks later.

Im giong to build another fc soon with same mods only a stand alone ecu and streetport. What should my times be with 200rwp and 2500lbs?

I see you have the walboro pump and the HK6... How do you like it? I'm about to buy the HK6, I already have the pump.
