Dyno'd My S4 13bT

So today i went to a dyno, it was a dyno pac chassis dyno.... 30*C 48% Humidity

85' GSL-SE

HP: 227 RWHP
Tq: 210 ft/lbs

Mods: s4 13bT
Stock S5 Turbo 8psi
StreetPort
3" Exhaust with Cat
FMIC
Microtech

AFRs were in the 10's, so once a lean it out and have a cooler day should be good for a few more RWHP. I think thats pretty good for 8psi!

Yes it is, Andrew. Turn up the boost to 10-12psi, and you've got a lively animal.

This is how an FB should have come from the Factory! Lots of fun to drive..... As far as boost controllers, Im not running one yet, This is just off the s5 wastegate spring.

I have an HKS EVC I to install, but I figure its not worth it on this turbo. Once I upgrade, then I'll condsider it. Any Sugguestions for a quick spooling 300-325RWHP Turbo? (Besides a stock Hybrid) I cant see this car ever needing more than that power level.

As Far as timing goes, i THINK that at 8psi, its somewhere in the region of 17-18 degrees.... This is going off memory.

How do you like peaking out at 6k? I have a friend with an S5 Turbo and he keeps complaining that the power drops off at 7.5k... My NA s4 pulls all the way to 7k and i cant really see any need in looking for more power past 8k.... But maybe thats just me?

stock hybrid is the way to go... like a bnr stage 2 or 3. there quailty, and if you get them with the unclipped hotside, spool will be near stock.

NI Racing: The only issue that i have with the peak HP at 6k rpm is that with such a light car, it will break traction at that point again and rocket to 7000rpm (atleast in 1-2-3), So i dont even notice the dropoff in power. I see no point to have peak power any higher than that either. Atleast when i shift at 7k, I will be close to the peak powerband and no unneeded abuse to the engine.

LastPhase: The only reason i thought about getting a proper single turbo was that right now I will only spool at like 3500-4000 because of the size of my intercooler/piping. I thought that maybe another turbo would be the way to go. Then again, I cant expect to be spooling much earlier than that anyways!

^ aron said a 3076R (might have that wrong...) spools as soon as 1.8k and makes power to 7k. Not sure the setup for that... but it sounds interesting enough....
