I know that Miata's can beat almost anything with the power they have... that's why I said I'm not looking for big power because there's no point in having it if I can't use all of it. The engine is already ported and I plan to do a full exhaust, coilovers, etc. so I won't be trying to compete in stock class.
After a "cold" air intake is installed, the AFM becomes the most restrictive part of the intake so I will probably go standalone in the future. That way if I want to turbo it, it's one less major thing I have to buy and I have the benefit of tuning for those last few horses.
