Well I hit the 1/8 a week ago and I am highly pissed off w/ my times. My car ran great after I could hook up. My best time was 10.2 and 10.3's. I stayed running low 10/s. I mean I have 17in wheels w/ low profile Kumho 711's. The worst tire and wheel package for the strip I know but I wanted to see what I could do. Mind you I ran these low 10's with 2.5 and 2.6 60' times. Thats horrible I know. I literally spun halfway down the track. I was pleased with the car though b/c I know with a set of slicks and 15in wheels then I would have ben low 9's easy. I raced a STI 4 times. he was heating me by 3 cars every time....haha With the slicks I cn get that 2.0 60' time and drastically improve my ET. In about a week I will be puttin Nitrous on the car and low 8's will be my new best friend.

 

what were your trap speeds?

 

i run 9.8 @74 with my old set up (1/8th) headers, intake, exhaust, I got some nittos 555r's so i should be low 9's with a 1.9-2.0 60'

 

that wasnt an STi if it was only beating you by 3 cars. maybe a normal WRX.

fwiw, i ran a 9.8@72 with a 2.2 60ft back when my car was NA.

 

Nah it wan a WRX STI....But the dude really didnt know how to drive his car to its best potential. I actually beat WRX's on the street all the time. They are really not that fast. They are fast off the line but after that they arent quick. My trap speeds were like 73mph. Well next time I will definitely have some slicks and 75hp shot of Nitrous.
