2nd Gen 9.37@144mph 1/4mile

Hi From Australia
A while back a friend of mine posted some pics my blue Series 5(aus) Rx-7 with 19 inch wheels back then running 9.7. 1/4 mile.Took it out on monday and went 9.37. Just wondering are there any cars running similar times in the U.S with no chassis mods and are street driven.

Cheers

Man that car is bad ***!!!!!! I could only wish I had the money to make a car like that! Great job! How often do you have to rebuild the engine running that kind of hp?

I love the Australian full interior race cars. Like that M3 that the dude put a turbo 4-rotor in. The thing had a system in it, and I mean he had a few subs, amps, TVs the works and he still planned on running 8s. Just a cool way to do things.

Beautiful car!

Awesome car man. And as a side note...its funny how most people on here swear that 18's look bad on an FC due to their size. Obviously from these pictures, even 19's look great on an FC.

Well ******* **** thats just about nice as hell. I guess people over in Aus must be making some serious bank, I cant think of anyone who would afford that motor alone much less the full custom interior to compliment it. Very nice, if you have any spare money let me know.

Yo,

Congrats!

Wasn't the car going to be in Fast Fours and Rotaries? If so, what month/year? I might have to pick that one up.

Nice job on the car, that's seriously quick.

Do you get the front wheels off the ground when you launch?!

*grin*

I want to know if the 530 rwhp includes the nitrous he has on there. Your car has a chassis mod...different rearend.

Crisspeed is in the 9 second with you I believe.

YGO-20B, I'll tell you why, 100 more rwhp at half the boost with a buttload of more torque...and that's not even pushing it.

Btw, your car is friggin badass.

Awesome car, but it would not be streetable in most of the states. They'd take one look under the hood here and say, "Nope, sorry." and send you packing.

Does this Crissspeed car race if so any pics or info coz that HP seems impossible on that boost . The 20b's don't even make that HP on that low boost and they are Australias fastest Sport Compact Racers running mid to low 7's. A true reading of HP is the 1/4 mile Dyno. What mph has this car run.More in please

Street or race doesn't matter, we are talking HP from a 13B on 16 pound boost

That thread isn't to crispeed's car. That's just a comment as to why someone would want a 20B. Serious power with little boost.

Your car is still AWESOME!!!

That all comes out to race...

The diff is part of the drivetrain, not the chassis. He's referring to the fact that it still has the standard IRS and wheel tubs, unlike most other sub-10sec FC's.

Here in Northern Virginia, they'd pop the hood and say something more like "No F-ing way."

That car is so far beyond street legal for this state.
