13.953@97.86mph

Went to Toronto Motorsports Park yesterday. Waited 4hrs to make my first run, and only managed to get in 2 runs. I was running a set of 18"x235 pirelli w5 rain tires. So all things considered I guess it's not a bad time. Can't wait to get down there with a set of slicks. Had a lot of wheel hop as well. Felt like the rear end was gonna explode.lol. Suprising since the dif is solid mounted and the front mount is box welded with 1/4" plate.

too much tire pressure maybe? i dunno what the sea level calculation is for where you lilve but normally with your power you should be in the mid 13's.

get those twins screaming a little more

The tires I used have a very low profile so I'm not sure the pressure would have helped. Never even had a chance to try anything though. Sat in line all day. Even with those tires I think I could have managed close to mid 13's with a few more runs.

Suprisingly enough the clutch held no problem. First run I spun the tires half way through second. Your right about the boost. I can't wait!

Talking

LOL, that's what I like to hear! Just get er dun! Can't wait, it would be nice to see some other similar setups. For all those out there that think it doesn't work well. You have no idea how anxious I am to turn it up. Just need my parts list fulfilled. Post some pics along the way.

Why are you drag racing with 18" rubber bands? Really..It's not like the tire can flex or anything. Drop to a set of 15 or 16s with a little sidewall. Save the 18s for the shows.....

The 18's belong to a customer/friend of mine. It was the best I could get with short notice. The 16's that I run on the car have shitty tires on them, I get wheel spin in 3rd. I'll be buying some slicks over the winter. And like you said, a set of 18's for show. I'm guessing most of the wheel hop was caused by the low profile.
