A stock turbo can do this time.
Fastest I did on the stock turbo is 13.1 at 12psi with lots of wheel hop and old hankooks rs2 tires with a 2.0 60' time and a 5.58 sec for the 330'

The stock turbo have a lot of low end grunt that helps, especially with sticky tires, having a street port will help further up the powerband.

Well my car is stock ports I'd be happy with a 13 second time, I'd be amazed if I ever got less than a 13.

Weight reduction obviously helps

Bravo! That's the fastest time I've ever heard on a stock turbo. I've trapped the same speed as you running .7s slower time with a BNR stage 3, great driving.

I would like to know more info too...

I beat proven mid 12 second cars on the street and in the 8th. But I never ran the quarter in it though. Stock turbo, intercooler, not ported, and never rebuilt. Stock (chipped)ecu with safc neo tuning. 14 psi with water meth injection.

How much boost is safe to run on the stock turbos of a third gen rx7? i wanna run 12psi but i dont want to push it either, fuel system and ecu is completely stock but i do have an aftermarket intercooler so would it be safe to run 12psi with manual boost controller...

other things i have read is that theres a fuel cut off aswell if you go over 10 psi

i just kinda wanted to make things more clear there so many different opinions on here

THANKS!!

Highest boost was in the 12s, but that was just in 4th gear. It was less in the lower gears

Yes, understood them et's are possible however common wisdom has us believeing stock turbo can't possibly deliver @ them low boost #s the amount of air to make the hp required for 110+ mph trap speeds.

You show your setup having a 7 mph deficit. Is his standalone the sole reason? That's impressive if it is.

Guess something new to learn every day.

So i ran at the strip friday night in my drift car. I too am on a stock turbo at 10psi. Tires were 225/45/17s.
My best time was 13.4@104.8mph. I had horrible 60ft' times. Over 2 sec every time lol. But i can see hitting 12s all day with drags tires. Was fun though.
