Some cheap $30 used Pirellis that I found at a local store, pressure was 26 PSI, and the burnout was 15 seconds in 1st gear.

j-rat i still rolled up your 1/8th mile time!!! damn i wish we had a local 1/4 mile strip. i was @ 13 lbs and i had a 1.999 (read: 2.0) 60ft

what would an 8.48@84 be in the 1/4 mile?

yeah, I am waiting on my stage 4 from BNR, but I am running an S5 turbo.. That shouldnt make much of difference.

Jake,

Its hard to tell from an 1/8 mile time what your car will do in the 1/4.

Sweet time man.

Im going to the track this thrusday.
I was wondering how you launched the car? (rpms, clutch slipped or dropped etc).

Ive got an rb turboback, 720cc injectors, mbc (15-17psi), and some fuel tuning,

do you have drag radials or regular street tires?
i have nitto555r's (245-50-16 drag radials) and i was doing a short burnout (2-3 seconds), pulling up to the line, and slipping the clutch (slip slightly, then drop) from about 6500 rpms. my drag radials are dead (almost showing cord) so i was only got a 1.999 as my best, but still better than the 2.2's i was getting on street tires.

if you're launching on street tires i'd try to launch around 4000-4500 slippin the clutch. it all depends though, jrat pulled that 1.8 60ft on street tires but he did a massive 15 seocnd burnout

edit: also, i just saw that you're gonna run 15-17 lbs. if you're on the stock turbo i would not suggest doing so. the stock turbo starts to hate life if its pushed to 15psi or above. try to run about 1 bar (~14.7psi) and just keep it at that. your turbo will blow in about a week if you are running 15+psi.. just a little FYI incase you didnt already know.

im on dunlop sp sport fm901's (225/50 16).

I should have clarafied about the boost.
My max psi IS 15 (probably 14.7 like you said), but ive seen it spike to 17 once or twice (in fourth gear).

My car was tuned by mike lowe, but the work was done before i bought the car so im not sure exactly what he did. Im going to see him thursday morning before I race it.

yeah as long as the boost stays under 15psi or so, it should last a decent amount of time. people always talk about running 15 psi, then their turbo blows like 2 weeks later...

anyways, that thing should haul *** at 15lbs.

Awesome 60ft time.

Stock S4 turbo and S4 motor, ~8psi boost, street tires, mine went 13.52@101 on a 2.19 60ft. Although...I wouldn't exactly say my launch was typical of a 2.19 60ft time. I rolled out just a bit before I really launched it.

Rev to about 45-5000 RPM, once the green hits, floor car and try to modulate engine speed with the clutch around this general area...
