10 AE: Stock internals S4 block 431RWHP @ 15.5psi

Forgot to post this up.

My 10 AE with 50k original miles put down 431 RWHP and 338 torque

Stock internals, never ported. Obviously all the supporting mods. Tuned by Banzai

Wow! That is one awsome tq curve as well. Must be fun to wrap that past 7k and it just keeps pulling all the way there.

well the stock ports are at least good for something. I wonder what this could do with some meth. injection or race gas with 20+psi. I doubt my irons would let me find out.

Here's the car. Should be getting the AGX/Eibach setup installed soon. Dumb stock struts/springs.

who's the maker of the xhaust maniflod?

Why bother porting?
e.g., I see a 70 hp deficit @ 4K on this curve: http://www.colemanprecisionrotaries.com/
and that's w/ a 9:1 CPR FD engine.

It's A-specs kit. They make the manifold

Unported these cars make pretty good torque. For a street car I wouldn't bother porting, but you can see it starts to run out of steam around 7000. I think 400-450 RWHP is a fine number for this chassis, wheel spin is not so bad and you can put all the power to the ground. Plus it's not a parts breaker.

+1 Great #'s
Never been a big fan of porting on a street car for exactly that reason, its a torque killer. Sure its easier to make HP, but it makes the car gutless unless its screaming. Now for a drag or road race car where torque doesn't really matter, that's another story entirely

The stock ports do produce better mid range although you won't have much low end unless you have a stock turbo or small hybrid.
