Took the RX7 to the track for the first time!

I have a DP,MP, intake, and PFS. I wanted to hit 12's badly. This was my first time ever racing my car, so i knew it would be hard to hit 12's. My first run:

r/t .584
60 2.084
1/8 8.744
1/4 13.329@ 108.02

My 2nd run i didnt get as good of a launch and ran a 13.6.

My final run i was put up against a Civic that was running mid-high 13's all night. I kept saying to myself," Im not going to loose to a ******* civic..."

Final run:

R/T .133(WOW!)
60 2.053(damnit!)
1/8 8.504
1/4 13.003 @ 106.60 (GRRRRRRRRRRR)

I would have hit 12's if i wasnt always worried about my 2-3 shifts, but it was fun none the less. Beat an SS with some stuff done to it. I ran a 13.3, he ran a 13.5.

what boost are you running? your trapping fast enough to hit 12's you just need to get your 60ft down to like 1.9 and you will be easily 12.8

dude get a catback at 13psi you should be trapping around 112. Theres some major restriction going on there. Then you can get 12.8 with a 2.2 60 time all night thats much easier haha or go for mid 12s.

you have the launching down give us tips. You arent getting any wheel hop? are you feathering the clutch or letting go of it? a guy here ran 1.6 60 foot time on a totally stock rx7 stock tires and everything. hes an instructor though

i dont know how much i belive that... im not saying bs or anything, but i would really like to see that in person.

In my trans am, launching at 3000rpms with a 125hp nitrous shot and 10.5" mickey thompsons, I only managed a 1.6 sixty foot. the car went 12.2 but blew up third gear in the process

i can hit 1.9s on my 7 with kuhmo supras...

i got stock tires and suspension as well. I launched right at 4. Just dump the clutch. I didnt dump the clutch and floor it though, dump it, then half throttle until i get traction, then floor it. Im gonnna have to go back and play around with launching. I only raced 3 times, and this is the first time ever. Im gonna get my catback exhaust hopefully soon, im looking for a used HKS or APEXI if ya know of anyone!

Ya I never thought of that.....That would be cool to run a 13.3 here. You think I'll run that with stock boost? I don't know about that. I hope to run a little harder than 13.3 when I get the ECU in
