Finally got to the track...12.757 @ 111.18

Ok I finally made it to the track last night. I have not gone to the dragway in over 14 years. So I was a bit nervous. I actually hit the brakes before the 1/4 mile was over on the first run. I got to the track late so only ran twic. Oh and I forgot to let some air out of my M/T ET Streets. I ran them with 32psi so hoping next time aired down to 16psi I can cut a better 60' time.

First run:

R/T... .386
60'.....2.044
330....5.545
1/8.....8.399
MPH...86.39
1000..10.819
1/4.....12.918
MPH....106.53

Second run:

R/T.... .806
60'......2.076
330.....5.522
1/8......8.340
MPH.....87.68
1000....10.728
1/4.......12.757
MPH......111.18

Dynoed at 310hp. Running stock turbos, stock motor, Apexi Power FC, SMIC, ACT lightened flywheel, ACT clutch, 550/1300 injectors and Mickey Thompson ET Streets, down pipe, magnaflow mid and RacingBeat dual tip muffler.

Not too sure about the CC's as I had bought the car this way. The Power FC shows .9 bars which translates to roughly 13.23psi.

Nice! Our cars are running almost identical times. I'm impressed you cut a 2.00 on street tires. What rpms are you launching at?

Sometime this week I plan to go back and run with 20psi in the ET Streets and launch around 5.5-6k rpms.

I think it was a lucky combination of factors, it was a few years ago on the old stock clutch, which was slipping and I didn't do a burnout.

first 2 runs were 13.2 and 13.0, then I adjusted tire pressures to 35psi front 18psi rear, side stepped the clutch at 6k rpm and shifted right at 8k rpm.

got a perfect no hop launch with a combination of tire and clutch slip that gave me the 2.00 60' and 12.8s et.

Went again tonight to the dragway and got redemption. First few runs hit 13.3 @ 109 and 13.4 @ 111 because the track was kind of wet. Parked the car for an hour let other cars heat the track up by running and took my FD out for a last run and end up cutting a 1.8 60 foot 12.4 @ 110.

oh snap 6766!

I have done a 1.74 60' on 275mm nitto invo's.

I just picked up a set of MT ET Streets, and am hoping for 1.4x 60's. let us know how you do with the new setup.

Nice 60' especially on street tires. What did you do in the 1/4 mile?

I'll be back in April when the track reopens.

I only go to an 1/8 mile track.

60' --------- 1.7485
330' ------- 5.0880
1/8 ET ----- 7.8589
1/8 MPH --- 88.20

This was on a 370whp tune at 16psi I think... Every time I made more power it only ever made the results worse on street tires. They prep the track I go to pretty well too.

I expect to go back with the et streets, at about 450-475whp on pump gas, and am hoping for a 7.30, and i'd like a 6.99 on race gas, and somewhere north of 500whp. Just not sure how far north.

for reference, i ran this on the stock turbos several years ago:

R/T -----.167
60' ----1.807
330 ---5.082
1/8 ----7.785
MPH ---92.06
1000 --10.114
1/4 ----12.091
MPH ---115.00

setup was stock turbos non-seq, stock intercooler, no exhaust (open downpipe), 14psi boost, apexi PowerFC, some high treadwear normal street tires, pretty fast shifts.

i hadnt dyno'd at that point, but it should have been ~330whp.

What rpm are you guys launching at on street tires? I'm going to be on a 275/35 or 285/30. On stock tires I was launching at 3,500 and my best time was 2.2 60 ft and 13.7@107mph.

stock turbos @10psi
apexi PFC on base map
hks downpipe
custom 4in midpipe
apexi gt spec 4in axle back.
koni yellows with eibach pro kits set to soft. ( doubt hard/soft makes a difference on koni)

Any tips on how to improve the time? I really need to work on my 2-3 shift. And i feel like i should be at 13.5 but either my launch is bad or that 2-3 shift.

Also car was dynoed at 247rwhp with the stock midpipe.
