I have heard of a few issues, but who do you believe? Looks like your set-up is done right. Probably not the pump, but a weak spot somewhere else. G

The main thing that held me back from running more boost was the limits of the supra tt fuel pump, and also more fuel injector.... I had 850/1300s.

Let us know what kind of trap speeds you're running if you ever get to the drag strip

P.S. Glad to see the IRP GB had a hand in this accomplishment
Glad to see you chime in on this post! I stalked your posts like crazy to see what you did while building this car to break the BNR record. Without your posts on BNR's I probably wouldn't have been able to do this. I really owe this whole thing to you and user Dudemaaanownsanrx7 at wannaspeed.com for his knowledge on pre-turbo water/meth injection.

The engine has a VERY large streetport on the intake side and I couldn't have gone any bigger without cutting into the water jacket. It's basically as large as you can go without going bridge. On the exhaust it's kind of something that me and my engine builder have been working on. I guess the best way to describe it is a mix between a ep2a and a ep4a. Simply put, the porting above the exhaust port resembles a ep2a with the porting below being ep4a. It spools the turbo faster without having to worry about the increased risk of boost creep. The only drawbacks to the port have been that the car needs to idle around 1,100-1,200 to keep the idle stable and to keep the car from randomly stalling. The other drawback is that the car will not idle without dieing until water temps are above 45c.

Other then the port work I'm running Mazda corner seals, Atkins cryo-treated side seals, and RA super-seals.

Ironically, if it weren't for the group buy that you helped sponsor I wouldn't have done it.

While I originally got the idea for coating my lower intake from a local tuner I must admit that I decided to coat the underside of my upper intake and intercooler end tanks from you. THANKS!!

Do you know what duty injector % you were seeing at WOT at those boost levels?

Duty cycle peaked at 76% on that run and only because I'm running the car VERY rich because of the high air intake temperatures.

I've "rewired" my fuel pump to make sure that the pump is getting a full 14v but I'm still using stock wiring. I'd have to dig through posts but there's a way to bypass the voltage regulator by simply jumping a wire under the fuse box under the hood to run 14v at all times. I would completely re-wire the pump but since the Aeromotive Stealth 340 draws such low amperage the stock wiring is capable of handling it. what's interesting is that the Denso Supra pump, which flows less, draws more amps and needs to be re-wired in order to get maximum flow and reliable operation.

I addressed my porting in a post above.

What's crazy about the BNR's is that there's still more potential to make power on my setup. My intercooler isn't cooling the air efficiently, I did this running very rich air fuel ratios of 10.5-10.7, and my intercooler piping going into the intercooler isn't efficiently plumbed (too many bends/turns). I once again have to give credit to Dudemaaanownsanrx7 and his pre-turbo water injection kit. I took a gamble on his research that pre-turbo water injection will increase the efficiency range of the turbos and in my book he's correct.

I hope that with all these problems worked out I can to get into the 470-480's.

Nice, I also plan to max out my non seq bnrs at 18 psi with full meth injection in the future due to the crappy 91 octane here in ca. .

I take it you were running 93 octane...

It's just an older design, that's all. What's most impressive about that pump is that it is an OEM pump meant for car that doesn't even put 300 to the wheels from the factory.

Has any information been posted online about this? I'd like to see his setup. I'm not saying I don't believe you, as I think this number is possible, but I'd still like to see some evidence.

To the other poster, yes, there are mesh screens behind the velocity stacks. They've already saved my turbos once.

Hey all.

Good job on the numbers. I started an experimental compressor wheel at the time of the group buy. I think 2 or 3 sets out of 15 sets had the original wheel in them. The new wheels are machined just like the 2860 but I chose a more efficient compressor wheel casting which allows for about 4 more lbs/min of air flow per wheel. The pressure ratio also changed. So maybe we are onto something here .

We have seen awesome gains from the mazdaspeed 3/6 with this newly manufactured compressor. It is one of my ultimate favorite compressor wheels of all time. 20-30 WHP gain just from the compressor change on 1 turbo.

^ Is there any way we can differentiate between the two wheels?

Yea, I'm pretty sure I was the only one with non-sequential from that group buy. Did I get the new wheel?

What he said! My BNR's are in the box no installed, and since I track her often, I'd like to know if I have the "improved" compressor wheel ?
