512 rwhp on 93 pump gas and meth injection *dyno graphs*

Here are my two dyno graphs at around 21 psi of boost on 93 pump gas and 100% methanol injection using coolingmist's progressive controller. I used two nozzles which i think are a M8 and M12. All my other mods are in my garage. It was tuned by Steve Kan.

This is Horsepower and torque, don't mind the lines that shoot back down, i guess the dyno didn't catch the end of the run soon enough

this is horsepower and air fuels, i cut off the scale for the a/fs but its 8-18, they are mostly in the low 11s

Ahhh

I've been wanting this system for awhile but money is too tight. I think it beats paying $10 a gallon for race gas.

Haha, you think? ****, its an issue for me and I only have 360 at the wheels. Your gonna get all kinds of wheel spin, in almost every gear i bet too.

The VP Racing M1 Methanol was about $6 a gallon but it was in a 5 gallon pail. I think if you buy a huge drum of it, its pretty cheap or if you don't buy VP Racings stuff, which i guess is considered some of the best.

How often you fill up the reservoir just depends on how often you get into boost, and how long you are in it. I really have had enough seat time to tell at this point how often i will be refilling it.

A little more $$ then I thought, but still beats the pants off paying $13 to go 15 miles or so on C16. I just searched for general Methanol, I didn't know VP made it.

Those reserviors are what.. 1.5 gallons. I am guessing maybe 500 miles or so. City & spirited driving? I would be interested to see what your results are.

It is their progressive vari-cool setup. Its wild to go up and put your hand on an intercooler pipe right after a dyno run and it feels ice cold to the touch.

Hm, at 15 psi with my new 500R setup, I'm not getting solid traction on WOT runs until I shift into 3rd at about 70 mph. This is with good condition 275mm width BFG G Force KDs in the back.....

Its strange, i know. Maybe it was that the turbo spooled so late (especially on the streetport) or that i'm still on stock suspension and it shifts the weight on the back tires, but i definitely hooked up and it was making power.

i pay $1.99 per gallon for methanol in milwaukee. find a circle track and you will find cheap methanol. BTW, i run a 4 gallon fuel cell in my spare tire well.

any questions on the subject go to the Auxiliary Injection section of this board.

zinx, do you have any knock readings?

AI is great, and I would to use AI for safetly measures but not to replace c16. In my opinion AI should be used as a safety blanket more then a replacement for higher octance fuel. If you try running 25psi and god forbid you have a bad tank of gas or something malfunctions with the AI kit you will have no more motor. As with c16 you're safe regardless if your tune is onpoint. Just my $0.02 i'm no professional.

Nice #s Zinx, looks like dynapack software. Glad you got your AI system working effectively. Steve Kan is a good tuner, not doubting Kans' skills at all but I think the #s are off since HP/TQ don't cross at the certain RPM...

Jay7...
