512 rwhp on 93 pump gas and meth injection *dyno graphs*
Here are my two dyno graphs at around 21 psi of boost on 93 pump gas and 100% methanol injection using coolingmist's progressive controller. I used two nozzles which i think are a M8 and M12. All my other mods are in my garage. It was tuned by Steve Kan.
This is Horsepower and torque, don't mind the lines that shoot back down, i guess the dyno didn't catch the end of the run soon enough http://www.indyhp.com/pics/512dyno-hpvstq.jpg this is horsepower and air fuels, i cut off the scale for the a/fs but its 8-18, they are mostly in the low 11s http://www.indyhp.com/pics/512dyno-hpvsaf.jpg |
Nice!

very good...

Ahhh
I've been wanting this system for awhile but money is too tight. I think it beats paying $10 a gallon for race gas.
|
Hope you're pointed straight between 4800 and 5300 rpm.... you jump about 125 hp and Tq in 500 rpm!!
|
congrats
nice talking to you and I'm glad to see you hit your goal |
congratulations. that may be a record hp number on pump! (and of course AI)

daym. big fricking number there.
bridge ported motor T88 etc... |
Thanks guys! I drove it tonight and granted the roads are cold here in indy, but i can already tell traction is going to be a issue this season.
|
Really nice man.

sweet...

wow, nice numbers. How much is Methanol a gallon. Like $1.50? and how often do you fill up the reservoir?

How often you fill up the reservoir just depends on how often you get into boost, and how long you are in it. I really have had enough seat time to tell at this point how often i will be refilling it. |
A little more $$ then I thought, but still beats the pants off paying $13 to go 15 miles or so on C16. I just searched for general Methanol, I didn't know VP made it.
Those reserviors are what.. 1.5 gallons. I am guessing maybe 500 miles or so. City & spirited driving? I would be interested to see what your results are.

Nice numbers, are these HP ratings SAE corrected?, cause I don't see that in the graph.

Where did you get your methonal set up??

It is their progressive vari-cool setup. Its wild to go up and put your hand on an intercooler pipe right after a dyno run and it feels ice cold to the touch. |

Its strange, i know. Maybe it was that the turbo spooled so late (especially on the streetport) or that i'm still on stock suspension and it shifts the weight on the back tires, but i definitely hooked up and it was making power. |
i pay $1.99 per gallon for methanol in milwaukee. find a circle track and you will find cheap methanol. BTW, i run a 4 gallon fuel cell in my spare tire well.
any questions on the subject go to the Auxiliary Injection section of this board. zinx, do you have any knock readings? howard coleman |

Nice #s Zinx, looks like dynapack software. Glad you got your AI system working effectively. Steve Kan is a good tuner, not doubting Kans' skills at all but I think the #s are off since HP/TQ don't cross at the certain RPM... Jay7... |
