IL 422 RWHP 324 TRQ @ 16PSI on BDC HBP & Aspec 500r

Was looking to hit the 500RWHP Club....while maintain creature comforts of AC, Power Steering, and Cruise Control. Time to do more work on the exhaust.

Aspec 500r series 1 - 1.06 Hot Side with Tial 44 wastgate with 16PSI spring, half bridge port, pre turbo meth/water injection (wannaspeed), Aspec GT Spec FMIC, CJ Rails with 2x725 ID Pri, 2X2000 ID Sec injectors, Racing Beat Exhaust with resonanted MP, aeromotive 340lph stealth pump, Battery relocation, Cruise Control, PowerSteering, and AC.

Done on a dynojet with Intake temps in the high 30s Celsius. Intake pipes were cool to grab even after back to back power pulls. ~11.0 afrs. Wannaspeed pre turbo kit is doing its job in an incredible fashion.

Took the Apsec 500r to 18psi, but exhaust is too restrictive to put down substanitally more power with boost above 16psi. Left it to 16psi for now until I can improve the exhaust situation to allow this setup to really take off. Aspec long tube headers has this setup spooling to 5psi by 2500 rpm, and at 10psi at 3400rpm. Full boost by 3700 (16psi) all the way through the power band to 7500rpm.

Steve Kan did the tune.

500 still within reach with a better exhaust and up the boost. Need to research how to resonate the exhaust and still keep it somewhat calm at idle.

I have the new magnaflow resonated mp. Keeps my neighbors from giving me dirty looks like boosted414 gets when he drives in my neighborhood.

I doubt your lack of power has anything to do with the exhaust, I run basically stock frame turbos with 3" DP, RX7.com resonated mid pipe, and a E-bay exhaust and made 452whp on a older setup.

I know of many other cars that have easily cracked into the 450's and above with 3" exhausts.

There isn't anyway you could post the map is there?

I believe thewird has taken to racing beat up to 500 hp as well, although I may be mistaken. I'm also unsure of his midpipe setup.

I was tuned on my RacingBeat duals at 14 psi. I switched in my Greddy Evo2 (which actually isn't that much louder), and with the same tune (on a Power FC and AVC-R), my FD was boosting over 17psi.

Then on a warm day, 4th gear uphill pull at about 6k, I blew the engine. Again. Meh.

I still drove it another 80 miles on one rotor. I wasn't about to wait 2 hours for roadside.

Speaking of exhaust, Aspec did a wonderful custom setup utilizing a 3.5" 2 stage re packable muffler. Pretty quiet with this single can however could add another for the neighborhood issues.
