342 hp dyno & 11.19 @ 123.80 video

See link below for a video of my car on a dyno and 3 runs at Pittsburgh Raceway Park, got my best 11.19 on the video. All this with stock turbos and stock internal engine.

Very nice ET but how in the hell are you running 19psi on "stock" twins?

I have all the supporting mods to safely run more boost, fuel system and PFC tuned with my wideband, this was also all on pump gas. I have also seen max boost of almost 23 psi

he can run 19psi on pumpgas because he has methanol injection.

how long the turbos will last at 19+psi, we should find out soon.

Wrong. I just recently installed the water/methanol injection kit, and it just made the car slower, I tried all 3 jets and the smallest jet worked best but still made the car slower. I did one dyno pull with the water/meth. injection hooked up and it made 339 hp. One or two of the first two runs on the video at the track was with water/meth, the last run on the video was my best and that was without water/meth. injection, I can feel the car is faster without it. I've been running around 18-20 psi on pump gas for over a year now with dozens of 1/4 mile passes. The water/meth. I just installed is not the secret, I don't know maybe my good AFRs tune is the secret. I've been running the turbos above 16 psi for about 2 years now, no problems with them.

The value in the water/meth injection in your application is not to make the car quicker or faster, but rather, to give an additional saftey margin. And to prevent a catostrophic engine failure in the event of some other malfunction.

The difference of 3hp is inconsequential. It's in the noise, so to speak, and less than the repeatable accuracy of which the dyno is capable of resolving.

You have achieved a good result. I would encourage you to run the water injection, which will help keep it that way.

Thanks for the compliments and advice. Yes I do mostly drive the car with the water/meth injection for added safety, it does reduce the knock some, and helps a lot to lower the intake temps. The car just feels a little faster when I don't inject it.

Stock seq. turbos not modified at all except the boost controller. My primary turbo only makes 12-13 psi max.

Wait... you're making 342 hp (which seems kind of low for all supporting mods and that kind of boost), and you're making 11.19 second passes? What tires are you using?

Oh, and I wasn't trying to sound like a jerk, I'm just hoping that after my tune, I'll make around that number on 15psi. I have nearly all the bolt-ons, and with a pig-rich map, ran 13.34. I'd love to knock 2 seconds off of my time...

mid-low 11s is a pretty good time at 340-350whp. A lot of people are **** awful drivers and think these cars should be running high 12s at that power range, so props to you for the good runs.

Your power seems a little low, but that's probably because your turbos are worn down. as you said, you can't get the primary to boost past 13PSI, meaning it's probably on its way out.

Are you running slicks? Your launches are incredible.

yeah holy crap.. i have every bolt on under the sun for my fd.. and im running a set of ported non sequential twins on my ride.. im planning on running them at 15psi and with my ported motor im hoping to his the 350whp mark.. and break the 11's..

your running your car at 19psi!!! and been doing it for a while now!! wow... however at that boost level you should be above 350hp at the wheels id think..

if your really running that much boost heck i think i better rethink my plan and up my boost to around 17psi on the stock twins!!

over 15PSI, they make more heat than power. You don't get substantial gains from pushing your turbos beyond their peak efficiency, in fact you usually lose power(which may be another factory in why his power seems low). If you really want to push 19PSI, get BNRs, and make 420+hp.

I want to know how he trapped 123mph on seq twins. Impressive to say the least. Im assuming that is a mustang dyno or dyno dynamics dyno you were using??? I didnt watch the video so forgive me if the info is in there some where.

That is correct. Just 225x50x16 Hoosier drag radials on the stock rear wheels. I also thought the HP was a little low because of my times, so now I wonder what kind of times I could be getting with better turbos , but can't afford them right now.

That may be true, but I know my car goes faster as I turn up the boost and at or above 19 psi I can feel the car accelerate faster with the high boost compared to lets say 16 psi. The BNR twins do sound good if they make about 80 hp more than I have now.

Goodfella made 421whp at 17.5PSI with the BNRs non-sequential.

Dynojet, it would be like 300 on a mustang dyno since it reads lower. It doesn't really matter that they are seq still, when I launch they are like non-seq because the revs are above 4500, and it runs like non-seq from the start all the way down the track.

That's interesting. He also had a ported motor, I don't, and he didn't have as much mph as me but still got a better time. That's what I'm trying to do!
