What boost is the car running at the power peak?

And where are you getting 19psi from, (datalogs, looking at a gauge, setting on an EBC)?

And whatever the source of that 19psi what is plugged into (pre or post inter cooler?

I was running 15 ish PSI on stock turbo's for about 3K miles before the front turbo ate its own impeller nut.

He had a run just like mine, his 60'= 1.576 1/4= 11.182 @ 120.35, then he did a 60'= 1.488 and 1/4= 10.988 @ 121.68 mph. I need a better 60' and then I could get a 10.98 like him. But I'm going faster at the end compared to his runs with the stock twins.

Oh I know...like I said your runs arent unbelievable...and noone can doubt you since you have video...but all I am saying is thats really impressive for your numbers...like I said when he had 402 he ran 11.56 on stock motor and turbos just like you...his numbers are obviously higher....ur just outdriving him

18-19 psi. Gauge and profec b spec 2 boost controller. PFC reads around 1.35 with the 3 bar apexi map sensor. Sourced from the UIM. That sucks, maybe I should make sure that nut is tight

His car was probably faster with the Nitto drags because the ET streets are too tall of a tire with stock gearing, they slowed my car down alot too before I got the Hoosiers which are the same height as stock size tires.

It does make a difference considering the amount of restriction the manifold has while still seq compared to non-seq. Is your car stripped? Something doesnt add up, Im not saying it isnt true but people have been pushing the stock twins for yrs, and there are a lot and I mean a lot of 340rwhp stock twin cars out there, and none of them are trapping over 116-117. Thats just an impressive mph for sequential and 340rwhp. More power to you either way, just doesnt seem in line with the last 15 yrs of people drag racing these cars.

You can buy good used turbos for $250.00 a set now, no reason not to beat the **** out of them.

They told him "You're too deep in the 11's without proper safety equipment!!!"- , that's exactly what they told me after I ran 11.19, all I got really is a helmet now, need to spend some money this winter.

I was just making a point to explain why his trap speeds were faster with the nitto drags compared to the ET street tires, in case anyone else was wondering that.

No, I daily drive my mazda MX6, I don't drive the rx7 very often, just when I want to test and tune it or take someone for a ride in it, or go drag racing. I've got nearly two good seasons out of mine at the high boost levels, you might as well if you got the supporting mods.

Ok, I really didn't know that there was that much of a restriction slowing me down, then maybe I should go full non-seq if it will make a good difference and get me into the 10s next year.

No it's not stripped, only the door speakers and the plastic piece separating the hatch and the storage bins, and I run spare wheels on the front. I did get rid of the power steering and AC, but that's not that much. I do take out the passenger seat to save some weight, but I've ran it with the seat and got the same trap speeds and such.

I do have lots of experience, went like almost every week last year and about 5 or 6 times this year, all the practice made me a much better driver.

If anyone else drove my car, that also has a rx7, with just little practice, I doubt they would be in low 11s like me unless they could pull off a great launch.

The turbos look old and shitty like most everything else under the hood when I got the car. The previous owner had an exhaust and a blow off valve, that's it, so I'm sure it still has the factory turbos and not ported engine, it has 105k miles too. Maybe I should try to find a good used cheap set of full non-seq. turbos and replace mine and go faster!

damn 19psi is a lot.. perhaps when other peoples turbos go out.. its not really the turbo that causes it but improper tuning which in turn creates something to go wrong when then makes the turbos go bad?? it be cool to be able to run 20psi daily on the stock twins.. that be a dream of mine..
