ok i finally decided on some 57pros. ordering this week so i want to make sure these will fit. also running teins and want them pretty flush to the fenders.

17x8 +27(61.5 lip) front with 215/45/17
17x9 +27(74.3) rear with 235/45/17

i don't want them to stick out at all and according to RETed this should work. correct me if i'm wrong.

I plan on getting some new wheels for my T2...and assume these would fit?

16 x 7 5Zigen FN01R-C

33mm offset.

I am planning on running 225/50/16's all around. I do have a small spacer for the rear if need be for visuals.

Front and rear ar going to be REAL close to sticking out past the fenders... I'm really not liking the front.... Your tire choice is good, but the backspacing worries me..... I have the same tires, on a 7.5 inch rim, with 38mm backspacing, and my tires are CLOSE to being too far out in the front.. (IE i don't want them sticking out past the fenders at all either) your pusing the wheel out 11MM more......

Looks like you can get the 57pros in 17X8 +31, +35 and +40 as well.. I'd go for the +35's up front

On the rears, if you go with the +31 you'll be able to run a 235 or 245 no problem..

If you are running the tein coilovers.. then definately go with the +35's up front

I don't see anything wrong with that set-up...

I really don't like running anything short of a 225 (225/45/17 in your case) up front.
The FC tends to push a lot, and having a narrower tire makes that problem worse.
I dunno what kinda tire brands you're looking for, but it might require slight rolling of the fenders.
It's the stupid lip on the inside of the front fender well that causes problems.
With the 215's, I doubt it's going to contact anything though...
Since YearsOfDecay mentioned there's a +31 offset, that's an option if you're not willing to roll the front fenders at all.

As for the rears, I use the FD wheels as a guide for inner clearance.
8" wide, +50, with a 225/50/16 tire will clear, but you might need to bend the muffler heat shielding a little - it does clear the strut and the trailing arm no problem though.
If we extrapolate the 8", +50 for a 9" wide rim, it comes out to approximately 9" with a +35 offset.
Since you're running a 9" +27, this is 8mm more clearance which just makes things a little bit easier.
With the 9", +27 you can step up to a 245/40 or 255/40 wide tires in the rear with no problems.

thanks for the info. i'm just trying to make sure the +27 front and rear won't be sticking outside of the fenders or if the front wheels will stick out more than the rears. i'm going to be running some yokohama es100 and rolling the fenders to be safe.

now i'm considering a +31 or +35 in the front. your opinions are appreciated.

The hard part is getting both front and rear "flush" with the fenders.
This is something I see people asking a lot more nowadays.
The problem is that the stock wheels are staggered themselves; the rears are way more sunken in the fronts.
Don't believe me?
Go look at your car now.

I really only worry about clearing everything inside.
This is why my recommended fitments and offsets are more conservative and leave a lot more space on the inside.
If I need to clear the outside fender, I'd roll the fender.
Rolling fenders is not a big problem for me.
If I'm looking for WIDE wheels, I'd go fender flares.
Simple fix.
Bottom line, you can "fix" problems with wheels that stick out too much with fender flares, over fenders, extensions, etc., but hitting inner suspension components require spacers to "fix".

yeah i was looking at my wheels for hours yesterday and noticed how the fronts are further out than the rears. thats why i've decided to go +35 up front and +27 in the rear.

For the rear I was looking at 18x9.5 w/ 275 rubber, what offset is needed for this?
I do NOT want to roll any fenders or flares, I would love to keep the flush look.
Thanks in advance.
Anyone....???

the front 8.5 wide with a 235 tire should have something like a +35 offset, maybe a little less like a +30.
***this is as long as you do NOT have coilovers with a strut body height adjustment ring that is seen on Tein Flex. why? my Tein Flex strut body height adjsuter ring is right at the same height as the rim, so it reduces the width of wheel I can run in comparison to a simpler coilover like Tein SS or KYB/Koni/Tokico/etc.
***if you do have something like a Tein Flex then you would need to move the wheel outward almost 6mm, but 4mm or 5mm might be perfect... thus an offset of +25 to +30 should work on an 8.5 wide wheel and a 235 tire

the rear 9.5 wide with a 275 tire should be a +25 offset.

You like pushin it don't ya????

You will need about a an 8mm spacer... if you use a 225 with a 9.1 inch section with as measure on an 8 inch wheel..

OK this is kind of wierd but what do you think about a setup of (F) 30mm x 7.5 (R) 40mm x 8.5? Any advice would be great. I have Tein HE's. Are these going to rub up front? The Teins say I cant go past +38 up front so if I cant go as low as 30 man, its gonna be hard to find something lol. If they wont rub, will that staggered setup look right? Thanks again.

Ok heres MY problem. What offsets do i need for a full widebody kit (30mm extensions on both front and rear) to make them both front, i plan on running 18x8 and 18x10 (f and r respectively). Front tires id like a 225/45 and rears a 265/45 tire. Suggestions or changes in setup?

lots of guys run 225's on the front... but you have to get the backspacing just right or you'll be out past the fenders... its realy close however you do it..

With an 8 mm spacer, you should clear the suspension and not have a problem with the fender.... but you'd better put longer studs in......

Fronts.. if you are using overfenders.. I'd rather see a 235/45 (17's) with a 25MM offset the will push the tires out by about 27mm over the stock TII position (which is a few MM inside the stock fender) The 225's will work as well, but if you are putting a widebody kit on, you might as well use it!

Rears with a 265,,, go with a 20mm offset you could step to 275's with no prob

Depending on the tire size, it should work.

with 30mm wider fender you could fit a 255 tire on a 9" wheel up front... why you would just run an 8" wheel and a puny 225 is beyond me.

at least run 18x9 +10 to +15 fronts and run an 18x10 +25 to +15 rear with 245 to 265 wide fronts and 265 to 285 rears... super GRIP!!!!!!

wouldnt that be backwards,. run the +25 front and +15 year? the less offset pushing the tires farther outward for the rears to balance out the look

Flatter tire footprint!
I run 225's on 8" wide rims all the time.
Stock FD is 225/50/16 on a 16"x8".

Ok, here is my question. I'm looking @ 17"s in either the Gram Light 57 pro or the Volk GT-C Face 2.

I want to run as wide a tire in the back as I can, I've seen a lot of talk about 9" width, but what about a 10"? will it fit.

Also, does anyone run the NT 555 Drag radial or the BFG equivalent as a daily driver? Do you think they will last a summer season or would it just be a waste of money.?
