Write up: FC3S Tanabe Rear Sway Bar & Energy Suspension Bushings
Here's a write up about installing Energy Suspension's polyurethane bushings on a Tanabe rear sway bar for the FC.
I bought both front and rear Tanabe sway bars for my FC and they come with rubber bushings. I want a stiffer ride so I bought the unviersal non greasable polyurethane bushings from Energy suspension, part# 95122 (18mm) for the rear and part# 95130 (28mm) for the front.
The stock rear sway bar is 14mm. I had polyurethane bushings for the stock rear sway bar (red). And it looks like this:
You can see there is a gap between the U-shaped sway bar mount and the bracket. That is perfectly normal even with stock rubber bushings.

The U-shaped bracket that comes with the 18mm polyurethane bushing is too big to fit onto the bracket's original location so the bracket will need to be modified. Take a grinder and cut off a small section on both sides of the bracket. Look at the pictures between stock and modified and you can notice the difference.
First pic: Top bracket is original and bottom bracket is modified.
Second and Third pic: Left bracket is modified and right bracket is original.
Here's what it looks like when completed. 18mm Ployurethane bushing from Energy Suspension (black) with gold coloured U-shaped mount, (Part# 95122). Look at the edges of the U-shaped mount and you can see that it fits perfectly now.
Also I added a 1/16" think washer to fill the gap between the U-shaped mount and the bracket.

This is what it looks like when both brackets are done ready to mount.

Finally the final 2 pics show what it looks like when installed. Even though these bushings are the universal non greasable type, when bought brand new it came with a tube of clear/white grease to apply around and inside the bushing prior to installation.
