Wooo
I'm excited, I spent a good chunk of my reenlistment bonus last week for suspension upgrades. It's my first time messing with it after owning my 3rd RX. Here's the list: DG-5 coilover, RP brake upgrade set (consist of rotors, ss brake lines, pads, fluid, RP traction control kit(trailing arms, tow links, nylon diff bushings) I hope to have pics up soon after the install. Also need to raise my radiator a bit, because it sits lower than my bumper

Oh did. Didn't have too much PITA stuff either. A lil PB blaster here and there and it went pretty well. Next step is to raise my radiator and p/s cooler and then get some spacers and drop her down more. But it looks so much better than stock. I didn't expect these coils to feel softer than my R1 suspension since the front rate is 16k and rear is 14k. Then again that R1 suspension is 16yrs old. I will miss the days of driving until my lower back hurts
But the handling is Mmm Mmm good. I didn't install the brake lines yet. I'm going to wait for more downtime like when I'm ready to install the 20B I ordered from Japan2LA, same with my diff bushings.
PS: Also got tires for my wheels. I had these wheels for like 1.5yrs and never used them until now. It just wouldn't have been right to do wheels without suspension.

New stuff installed =)

I can't wait either, might be a good 2 years before I get the other planned stuff done. I got a lot of saving to do lol. But for now spacers, more lowering, and a alignment are in order

14K/12K F/R is an incredibly high spring rate - unless you're drifting. Stock/R1 spring rates are on the order of 4.7K/3.5K F/R, so you've raised your front spring rate about 3.3x and rear rate 4x.
I predict your back condition will worsen by a similar factor.

I think it just feels softer due to suspension technology advances. The rates are sex though. I also haven't preloaded or anything either. Still lots to do =)
