will FD wheels fit RX-8

If I mount snow tires on stock FD wheels, will they fit on a RX-8 AT w/large brakes?

You mean with upgraded rotors? They should, the lug pattern is the same, I dont know about the offset though.

Yes, with upgraded rotors. I guess I am in question of the offset and tire diameter.

I think the 6-speed Rx8 front brakes will only take 17-inch wheels. Apparently the offset for Rx8 stock wheels are 50-mm.

Good, the FD wheel offset is also 50mm. Correct?
If the FD wheels spin freely on the front of the Rx8 will it be ok to use them?

Stock FD wheel is 50-mm offset. I doubt a 16-in FD wheel will fit over an Rx8 6-speed's front brakes. The Rx8 rotors are 12.7 inches across, while the US-spec FD stock front brake rotors are 11.6 inches...you can try it and see, but it will be a waste of your time...FWIW, I have J-spec FD Type RS/RZ brakes all around. The 16-inch temp spare will not fit over the brakes.

Don't forget about the air pressure sensing system that the RX-8 uses. You might not be able to use the pressure transmitting valve stems on the FD wheels and this _might_ throw an error code if the ECU can't see the air pressure in the tires.

Your right, I tooK some measurments and the calipers would rub the 16" wheel. Those front rotors are huge.
Thanks for the help

I need to look in to that. Hopefully it can be disabled.
thanks
