will 10" width fit on the rear?

Is there a way to fit a 18x10 with stock size spings on the rear of a fd without going the coilover route? Im thinking about buying some gram lights( 57f-pro) and I dont want more than a 9 but the next is a 10. Will I be able to do this with rubbing on the spring?

someone correct me if I am wrong, but as long as you have an acceptable offset (mid-high 40's) you should be able to fit 18x10 in the rear with no problems.

An 18x10 with a +51 offset or less will clear the rear suspension just fine. It looks like the 57F-Pros have a B-disk 18x10 +47 wheel. That will fit great in back.

The only problem is, the only FD suitable wheel for up front would be an 18x8 +43 offset, which is pretty skinny.

So was I correct rynberg? For example, an 18x10 +45 offset would work correct?

It should.

93RedFD:

Check out the 57 Pros instead of the 57F Pros. You can get 18x8.5 front, 18x9.5 rear, both in +40 offset.

I thought if you get 18x10 in the rear offset is +38mm and a 18x9 in the front should be +45mm

That is what a member (series7) has on his FD

18x10 +38 will rub the fender with 285/30s or probably even with 265/35s. Ideal is +50.

The front 18x9 +45 is very good.

Unfortunately, those sizes/offsets are not available in the wheels he is looking at.

If I can remember, the wheel that i checked on was the 57 pro, I was told they didnt do any half sizes, so i assumed that went for both.

. I havnt been into wheels very long, im new to it. The offset(say +50) is 50 mm from the center to the outer part of the wheel, correct?
The less offset will be more clearence from the springs, correct? Not enough and I will rub the fenders, right?
I dont want any fender or spring rubbing what so ever. I would like to have a nice lip in the rear.

You've basically got it. Offset is the distance between the centerline of the wheel and the mounting surface (hub). For example, stock FD wheels are +50 offset. That means that the mounting surface of the wheel is 50mm from the centerline of the wheel towards the outside of the wheel. So yes, a smaller offset equals more suspension clearance and less fender clearance.

With Volks, most of their wheels require a staggered fitment for FDs. The common fitment is 8.5" wide fronts and 9.5" wide rears, both at +40 offset. A few of their wheel models have extra workable size/offsets, like the CE28N. The GT_ wheel series (GT-P, GT-U, etc) typically only come in whole number size wheels and most have FD friendly offsets in the mid to upper 40s. I'm not that familiar with the Gram Lights, but they seem to be similar to other Volk sizing.

www.rayswheels.co.jp (there's a button for english version at bottom left) Post what you like and we'll make sure they fit.

Front.. I don't think it will go.. I would go with 9's or 9.5..

My 17x10 Fikses are a +44 offset, w/ 275/40/17... they fit w/ stock springs and links (though i have coilovers and upgraded links), and don't rub the fender.

I say that's pushing it on stock 1/4 panel..

I'm already pretty close.. anything wider would need wide body kit..

But I could be wrong..

What about +45 in rear and +38 in front?
