Arrow Found new wheels...but, will they fit? Need advice!

Hi all,

I was thinking about picking up some new SSR wheels and my shop has a set in stock with these sizes:

17x8.5 +43 (Front)
17x9.5 +43 (Rear)

I'm sure that the widths are OK, but what about the offsets? My suspension is currently stock, and I plan on upgrading to a Bilstein HD shock/H&R spring combo (1" - 1.25" drop) in the future. Are these wheels going to fit without any issues (clearance, rubbing, etc.)? And, assuming so, what would be recommended tire sizes for these wheels?

TIA!

235/45-17 for 8.5 x 17; 265/40-17 for 9.5 x 17. These are overall tire diameter matches, which should be ~25.3 inches depending on the tire brand. This is very close to stock of 25 inches in overall tire diameter.

you can fit a 255 on 8.5 rims. ond for 9.5, you should go for 275. just a thought.

Just because you can, doesn't mean you should. Tires do not handle optimally when there is not enough wheel width to support the sidewall. This becomes more important when moving to lower profile tires. A 275 on a 9.5" wide rim will put very little more tread to the road than a 265 will and will have sloppier response as well.
