I've only heard of companies that widen steel wheels. I knew a guy that had 4" VW wheels widened to 12". The hub cap sat so far back you could hardly get it off.
I doubt anyone is going to want to try to cut and weld the stockers though. They are squeeze cast aluminum and I don't think that welds very well. I'm not sure the offset would be what you want anyway.

1. There would be zero point to running wheels that wide in a 16" diameter, there aren't suitable tires and you would start running into suspension clearance problems.
2. Wheel widening on alloys can be done, but it is not cheap and is usually limited to 1 inch or so.

widening the stock wheels, whether steel or aluminum only adds width to the inside of the fenderwell so its normally done much wider than an inch or 2 at the most.
