wicked vibration @ 130kph+

when i let her lose i start to get a good vibration around 120kph, then when it gets to 160, its real good, do you think an alignment would fix the prob or is there some normal things that happen to rex's, i have an '88 ae w/ 116kms on it... stock everything, execpt exhaust.

thanks

most likely wheel imbalance due to prior misalignment. alignment on irs cars in rear is critical that the wheels ref the body...

A misaligned vehicle vill not cause a vibration (unless its out of specs massively). Wheel balance, bad tire, bent wheel, worn or loose suspension/steering parts will. Some custom wheels require hub centric rings to eliminate vibration. Keep in mind that the average wheel balancer spins up to about 60mph. Some hi-end shops may have balancers that spin at higher rpm's. Hope this helps.

misalignment, toe for instance, will make a tire out of round which will cause imbalance and vibration.
