where to get brake pads and rotors for m2 performance AP racing big brake kit
Ok everyone, its time for me to get a new set of pads and rotors for my AP racing brake kit. This is the kit that M2 was pimping back in the day. Needless to say, I need a new set of rotors/pads after some spirited driving. Anyone know a good place I can go?
You might PM "John Magnuson" here on the forum. He is running an M2 kit, but apparently he has Wilwood calipers. I'm not sure if you two are running the same kit, but it would be worth a shot to shoot him a PM.
I believe its AP 5200 based caliper—should be plentiful. Try:

They carry other brands besides porterfield

Get the rotors from Coleman:

I posted all but one of the measurements. Unfortunately somebody at Coleman forgot to write down one of the measurements on the spec sheet (eye diameter). I called them later to ask for it since I needed the measurement for brake ducts, and they couldn't find it in their database. So you'll either have to measure that yourself or send in the rotors like I did.

Here are the rotor specs for the Wilwood Kit that M2 Sold. I'm not sure if they're the same as the AP Racing Kit though:
A - Thickness = 1 1/4"
B - Outside Diameter = 12 7/8"
C - Flange Diameter = 7"
D - Eye Diameter = 8 1/4"
E - Size of holes = THREADED 5/16 - 24 (5/16" Fine Thread)
F - Bolt Circle = 7 5/8"
G - Flange Thickness = 1/4"
H - Step Diameter = N/A Flat Face
I - Step Depth = N/A Flat Face
I've attached Coleman's "Spec Sheet" - just print this out and e-mail or fax it to coleman and they can make the rotor.

From my other thread:
Add the cost of hardware ($90 total for overkill NAS bolts, or a fraction of that for grade 8) and shipping. I had mine back in less than a week from when they received my old rotors.
DV32-1300-150 - Custom solid mount rotor (directional vane) - $134.25
18841 - Stress relieve rotor - $18.90
18844 - Gas vented rotor, 8 slots per side, opposite of vanes - $16.25
Total per rotor - $169.40

Just get the hardware from them. Tell them you want grade 8, not NAS. Send them your rotors and they'll send back completely assembled rotors with new rings and hardware, it doesn't get any simpler than that.

I just talked to Lary at Coleman Racing. Anyone who ordered from coleman have the specs for the AP racing kit?

I got the replacement rotors for my AP racing BBK from Coleman Racing like many have mentioned previously. I got the rotor specs from Crispy's website:
http://www.negative-camber.org/crispyrx7/apracing.htm
They worked perfectly with my kit but I am not sure who made it as I bought it used from the forum. I would recommend measuring your rotor thickness, outside dia. and maybe even flange dia. to make sure those dims match Crispy's and if they do then use the rest of the info from Crispy's website when you call Coleman.

Crispy has the NTech AP kit, which has different rotor dimensions from the M2 kit. I talked to him about it when I first needed to get new rotor rings.
