depending on offset you can run up to an 11 inch wide rim inside of the rear stock FD fender so im going out on a limb here to say yes absolutely you can get a 12" under the burnout flairs. its all about the offset. i have 18x10 with 35 offset 265/3518 on my fd with no rubbing no fender rolling all stock. you should have no problem with what you want but just keep to a reasonably high offset.

Not sure why you are shooting for a 12" rear....
Yes with proper offset. I run 10.5 with 285/30's and you will never break it loose.
Not sure if you're running more hp than I am (426 at the rear wheels) but unless you just want a 12" rear wheel there's no point.
You can also buy better tires. I recommend Toyo Proxes R888's.

I have 315/25/19 on an 11" wide tire in the rear. I also might be getting another set of rims that are 18's and I planned on doing 12" wide on that setup. So, yes it's possible. You might need to do a bit of suspension work though to make everything fit properly.

yes he means the tires.
Get any decent tires. Yokohama Advan Neova, A032R, A048/A050. Toyo T1-R, R1-R, R888. Hancook RS-2, Michelin Pilot Cup/Cup sports.
To setup a car properly, it's ideal to pick a tire size and compound (tread rating/softness) you want to run, then setup the wheel, fenders, and the rest around it. Each manufacturer is different in how they make their tires. Some like stretching better than others, some prefer to be run square.
1) Pick your driving style/type/purpose.
2) Pick a tire compound/size to match.
3) Pick aggressive wheels sizes to fit the above. Make sure your suspension will allow you to go to desired ride heights. Make sure your big brakes clear if you have them.
4) Make sure your fenders can cover it.
