Wheel spacer problem
Wheel spacer problem
I got some BBS wheels for my 7. The offset is off by a little, so I bought spacers so they fit nicely. Only I have a small problem - They don't exactly fit still.
The spacers are kics and have studs in them. They're about 10-15mm thick. I can't remember exactly. Anyways, on the BBS rim, on the back where it mounts to the hub you have your 5 bolt holes. Inbetween these are some gaps in the rim. So the stock lug bolts poke out of the spacer, then sit in this pocket. BUT, the stock studs are too long hitting the end of the pocket!
Should I get some shorter lug bolts for the stock lugs? Or is there something else I could do?
Thanks

I currently have the same issue with some bolt on spacers. Theres really not all that much you can do. If its just a matter of the lug bolts themselves you can get really small open ended lugs that might solve the problem. You could always bore out some space on the back of wheels with a dremel to fit the lugs in. I dont imagine that it would be enough to take wheels out of balance. I did it for some rear wheels and havent noticed any noise or any uneven tire wear.
