wheel locks (lock nuts) for SSR comps?

Does anybody have lock nots for their aftermarket wheels? I just bought a set of SSR comps , and would like to have the security of knowing someone can't just unbolt them off my car. I haven't been able to find any, though... any ideas?

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the wheel locks. If someone wants your rims, they'll just hammer a socket on the lock nut and take it off.

When I ordered my SSR Comp's from tire rack I included "gorilla" wheel locks with the order.

I got some Black Tuner McGard locks for my wheels along with some black muteki lugnuts. PM me and i'll send you over to a place that should have them. They are pretty much wholesale only but I'll see if I can get them to offer to you.

Or just take your whole car because they want your rims that bad. It does happen a lot.

I'd get wheels locks anyway. It's cheap insurance against the amateurs.

hey Moehler,

it makes sense that when people go to steal a set of rims, they bring a 4 sockets w/ them to remove the wheel locks on each wheel.

As a result, I would buy 20 wheel locks and use them as every lug nut. While this makes it a pain in them a pain to get off, at least you will have the satisfaction of ******* over the unprepared thief who didnt bring 20 of the exact same socket.

Just an idea.

Steve

I have three McGard SplineDrive lugs, and one Gorilla Guard lock. The latter you might also want to look into. It has a rotating outer sleeve and there is no way to grab it and take it off from the outside. It removes with a key, and where it inserts is very thin and you can't jam a socket in there. One of the best wheel locks I've seen IMO.
