Wheel? 17x8.5 what offset?

I have been trying to get consistent info on wheel fittings. I was originally looking for 17x9 but from searching it looks like I will more than likely have rubbing issues. 17x 8.5 is the next option. I am hoping to keep a symmetrical
set up. What offset will accomplish this? I currently have a stock suspension set up. Thanks for any help.

I believe OEM 99 wheels are +45 offset.. but someone please confirm, its been awhile since I owned a set.

Also, ton of people run 9 inch width rims on FDs. Rears no problem at all. I ran 10.5 in the rear.

Yah, friend of mine (omochi) runs 17x9 all around with +45..

I'm running 17x8 front, 17x9 rears with +35.. fronts rub slightly, but rears fit fine.. however my car is pretty low on my tein flex's..

I was somewhat sure the 17x9 would not be problem in the rear but I would like the same width in the front. It is really hard to find 17x8.5 wheels in a +45 or higher. Can I go 40+
on a 8.5 wheel?

I searched and found that someone was have rubbing issues with the 5zigen
17x9 with a +43 offset. I would have originaly thought those would be safe on the
front and rear?? If I go 17x9 all around would +48-+50 be the best option?

thanks for the info, Dose anyone know if the 5Zigen Fno1RC would be ok in a 17x9 +43. I read the one long post a couple months back where the owner had rubbing issues with the liner. I got the impression that was a rare case?? Anyone else have experience? The reason I ask about the 5Zigen's is because they are easy to get and cheap!!

Stock wheels are +50 (in all sizes). +50 for 17x8.5 is ideal

Ok
That limits my choices. TE37'S or Advan RG's. Pretty good choices to have!

17x9 +45 is a great fitment and has been run successfully by many. 17x9 +43 is slightly more risky but that one case is the only one I've heard of a problem with.

So 17x9 +43 is a pretty safe choice? It is hard to find wheels in these sizes 17x9 over a +40 offset. I would really like to have the 5zigens work on a stock setup.

Hey Quick -

How low are your Tien's? Im considering a similar setup and I'm on eibachs & stock shocks. curious how low you are to cause the rubbing.
