what is the stiffest rear sway?

Whats the stiffest rear swaybar I can source for the FD? Understeer is scary...

Also, what is a medium stiffness front bar. Stiffer than stock but not as stiff as the RB front bar. I want her a little softer...mmm grabby.

Thanks eleventy billion + threeve,
Dave.

What is your suspension and wheel/tire setup now, including alignment settings? I can't imagine of anyone seriously complaining of understeer with an FD...

93 r1 has the stiffest rear sway bar
93 base/touring has stiffer swaybar than 94-95
94-95 all models has the softest rear swaybar

If you have 93 and find the rear wants to come out more often, then try the 94-95 rear swaybar. I did.

I agree with rynberg. In most cases you have to try pretty hard in order to get an FD to understeer enough to become a problem. Severe understeer issues with this car tend to be driver induced. I think it likely that your trying to fix a chassis problem you don't have.

When exactly is the car understeering?

My FC gets some understeer or used to, but driving my brothers FD I agree, I really have to work on getting it to understand. Check your tires pressures, and work on your driving. Not saying your not a good driver, but as the guys above said, it sounds driver induced. Unless you are having suspension problems

Springs: S-tech
Shocks: GAB super R(6f,5r)
widefoot front mounts and RB brace
will be running adjustable R1 strut brace
stock rear brace
Stock wheels and 245/45/16 tyres

Ive got an RB bar. Im needing a front bar. I heard the RB front bar was too stiff and the s-techs are rear soft(I was aiming for RSR springs) So im trying to tighten up the rear a bit and loosen up the front to compensate. Im not getting any understeer. I just like my tail hanging out. I just like em loose. It increases my "wee factor". What do you guys think about transmission and diff braces? They are cheap to buy so is the bang for the buck high? Will it save my PPF(which is somehow crackless)?

Thanks a mill
Dave

The diff brace is primarily to combat wheel hop and keep your diff from twisting laterally. It did seem to firm up the rear of my FD, but that is anecdotal evidence at best.
