a little help on tire sizes..
i dont have a clue about what size tires i should get for the wheels i am about to order.. they are 18x8 in the front and 18x9 in the rear.. does any one know if i could get 275 on the rear? thanks.. anyones input would be fine.

You could get a 275 on there, but 9" is the absolute minimum size rim a 275 will go on. Depending on the brand (the actual width of a "275/35/17" varies from brand to brand) it may look goofy, and not actually perfortm better than a narrower tire that fits properly.
Try a 255/35/18 or 265/35/18 in the rear. For the front, i'd suggest a 235/40/18 or a 245/35/18.
Tire Rack publishes specs for each tire, and it's manufacturers recommended wheel width range... make sure the brand/size you buy is within the recommendations, and preferably not all the way at the tight end of the scale if possible.
Try a 255/35/18 or 265/35/18 in the rear. For the front, i'd suggest a 235/40/18 or a 245/35/18.

Like ptrhahn stated, a 275 is too wide for a 9" wheel. It will mount up but all the extra width will be pulled up to get the bead mounted. I suggest a wide 255/35-18 like a yokohama. Keep in mind that the factory wheel is 16x8 with a 225. You are choosing 18x8 which is the same width. This works well with the 225 and also the 235. I personally would not move up to a 245 unless you have a 8.5. 255 gets a 9 inch wheel, 265 a 9.5 and 275 a 10. There is always a little play up and down but a tire that is taunt on a rim will handle better and put down the widest cross section on the ground.
Max for these wheels would be 235/265. Ideal is actually 225/255. The wheels we sell are 8.5 and 10. We run 235/275 or 245/285 max. What wheels are these that you only want to go that wide? There is room for more.

How about a 265/40/18 tire for a 9 inch rim for the rear? Will that be more appropiate than a 275/35? Or maybe even a 275/40??
