Wondering what're on this MR-2 and/or possible quality knock-offs, as I expect they're beyond my spending limits for wheels. (can't quiiiite place the logo) Thanks!

There you go. Around $600 plus shipping.

These are a little more rough, some curbing and scratches but they are less than $400.

Like I keep saying, wheels are super cheap in Japan.

Daamn, $600'ish huh. What are typical shipping fees like? I've only bothered having small pieces imported/figured rims would be nasty like bumper covers etc. I'm gonna go look but if anybody happens to have any pics of these on FD's, that'd be great! (especially if it's black )

When you ship large items Internationally the best way is to get a freight forwarding company. I can usually get under $1 per pound which means less than $100 to ship a set of wheels. That's for air freight too, you can get even cheaper for ocean freight if you don't mind waiting.

Obviously I've been using the wrong people to get my JDM parts.. can you get things like bumper covers shipped for similar? If so I've been missing out for the last 13 years! Back on-topic, I wish those particular Skyline rims were 17"s.

I dunno I've never been brave enough to try a bumper cover.
If you've been using UPS, Fedex, DHL or any of the normal carriers you're being ripped off. I don't know what their deal is charging $900 to ship a set of tires to Japan when I can get them shipped for $100 through someone else. They're ridiculous. I once shipped an engine to Australia and it was something close to $2,000 through UPS. The buyer wanted it UPS so he just payed but I still felt like an idiot giving that much money to them even though it wasn't mine. Usually when you buy JDM engines they can get them shipped for $500 when you buy through the exporters. They're pretty good at that.

I've always used places that "specialize" in getting automotive stuff imported. They've always wanted $500+ for things like bumper covers & recommended I stuck with small parts because of it.

Would anybody happen to know of a rim that's real similar to the previously pictured Skyline set, but available in a 17"?

The 99 Spec 17" wheels have a similar 5 spoke curved look to them and might be easier to find in the U.S. 16" wheels look fine on a lowered MR2, but in a curved 5 spoke, they might look a little small on the FD. I'd go with the 17" instead...you just missed this deal:

A little paint could make them look similar.

I paid less than $200 for those.

FD stock wheel have high offset so that means it'll sink in.
If you want my suggestion, try R33 GTR wheels 17x9 +30 or
R32 GTR vspec wheels 17x8 +30 BBS mesh.
These are easy to find in the USA just have to look on Nissan forums.
