Talking What rim size with Tokico/eibach pro

What rim sizes/offsets and tire sizes with the Tokico/eibach pro spring combo? I just want to confirm before heading out to buy some rims and having it rub the fender will be a PITA. So please contribute your rim sizes, offsets and tire size if you are using the tokico 5 way illuminas and eibach pro spring kit. Thanks in advance.
-Eric

p.s. I am lookin forward for some 17s" if that helps. Thanks again.

Maybe if you listed what kind of car you have people will be able to help more?

Up front will be your issue. I would probably not run anything larger than a 245 tire up front with a minimum of a +43 offset. If you want to roll your fenders, you can get a little more aggressive with your tire size and offset.

I dont want to roll my fenders and dont want any rub on the fender liners neither, because I like the stock look. But what I really want is to put on some 17" but I just needed the right spec for the wheels so i wont rub anything during hard turns or whatsoever. Driving quality comes first and look comes after. So please chip in you advices and opinions. Anything will be gladly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

16, 17, 18... The goal is to run the same or 'similar' overall diameter so that you don't throw off your speedo or anything else. So, the things that I listed above are what you need to know (i.e. offsets and tire sizes).

It might help if you posted what rims you are looking at...

That size is fine, however, check with the vendor you're ordering your wheels from and see if they come in a +45 offset or higher. This is mandatory so you don't rub up front.

There is no exact offset but a range, which I just told you (+45 and higher), and this is determined by the wheel manufacturer.

Apparently those are discontinued. Rishie has a set in a size that would work. Color however may not be idea but you can always powercoat the wheels to a different color:

"This wheel has been discontinued. We do have 1 set of 17x9 +44 5x114.3 in white.
Includes Free Centercap $120 Value"

Well, I am somewhat confused then. since you have the wheel spec of 17x9 +44 5x114.3, and you say it will work, but appearentaly SpeedKing said +45 and higher will work. So whose actually right here when it comes to NO RUBBING of any sort? Thanks

Once again, read my initial post. Rubbing come from two factors:

offset & tire size

You can run a lower offset, but you'll have to run a skinnier tire to compensate. Even too large of a tire at +45 can cause rubbing.

That wheel is too narrow (7.5). You at least need/want 8" rim.

Probably what would be easier if you tell everyone your budget for wheels only (not a wheel/tire package). Then people can help find something in that range with good sizes/offsets.

You cannot expect to run wider wheels than stock with lowering springs and get "NO RUBBING". No matter what anyone tells you.

In your budget, I would be looking at Tire Rack and see what SSR wheels they still have left. You can pick up a very nice set of 17x8.5/17x9.5 for a good price. Tire sizes would be 245/40 and 265/40 17.

Just a few options of wheels in 17" with decent offsets.

I liked those 5Zigens Pro Racer GN+, I was thinking of gettin those. In either Hyper Black or Bronze/Gold color. Very nice looking. So once again, the offset for the front should be +38, and so are the rear right? Because these #s came from the sticky I read from the Wheel/suspension thread, just wanted to make sure before I lay a hand on one set of these rims.

Shouldnt the tire size be 245/40 and 265/35 and both in 17s?

NO. Front offset in that wheel (17x8.5) should be the +48 for best fitment. The rear offset (17x9.5) should be +43.

No. 265/40 17 is the most correct size. Good luck finding a 265/35 17 anyway!

Hmm I dont get it then. Because onthe sticky, the zipped excel file, those are the best? or most commonly used aspect ratios? Am I missing something here or we have a difference in reading those numbers? Because if the sticky is not correct and or not accurate, wouldnt others on the forum noticed this? Just a thought, hopefully you can explain to me so i can understand this better. Sorry for all the trouble to bother you with this, but I am very happy to learn more about our cars =) Thanks in advance Rynberg.

The sticky represents the MINIMUM offset you should run, not the IDEAL!

Ideal offset is always +50. You get as close to that as you can, given the offsets available.
