Want to Lower My RX-7

I want to lower my RX-7. Dont think I want to do coilovers as I dont plan on racing.

What should I go with?

Springs?

Struts?

Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

I didn't see in your profile what year you have but I'll give you the basics that will work for most people.

Springs will lower the car enough get a nicer look without killing the ride totally. You will get a little harsher ride but it will still be fine for a DD. Get a set from a reputable company that knows our cars. New shocks and struts would be a nice touch to go with your new springs if they are old right now. If your shocks are worn now it will really show up with stiffer springs.

If you are going for the 'scrapes its belly like a reptile' look it doesn't matter what you do because it won't be a fun ride on the street no matter what you do.

Just FYI, the FD has shocks not struts.

You can do springs and shocks. A good street setup would be the Tokico HTS shocks with H&R springs.

I have Eibach Pro-Kit springs on stock shocks. It's a wonderful suspension setup and the drop isn't so much that I have to drive it like it's slammed.

I'm with Mahjik.

Tokico HTS + H&R or SWIFT
