You better give up the idea of TE37's if you are only willing to spend $400 a rim. We are organizing a TE37 group buy and even buying 5 set's of 17's only get's the cost to $445 per rim. If you want a strong, light, great looking, imported rim, you have to be willing to pay for it. Well worth the money though.

If I can find a job I'd like to get in on this group buy... The te-37's would look sweet on my white turbo II.
Question: How do they compare to Kosei K1's (199 from tirerack)?

I found a group buy on the net the other day for $362 a piece for Volk TE-37's 16x8's. You'd pay even less for 16x7's. http://www.importdevelopment.net/volk_pricing.cfm

I emailed the dude from that site and he said he'll get back to me to make sure those prices are still current. Its a GREAT deal if those prices are still current.

That is a pretty good price, however, you still have to look at shipping and tires, and tax if you are unlucky. We really need organize and get our group buy going, especially if you guys are outside of california since I have a guy that will give us good prices but he is in CA so sales tax applies to us residents. Even with sales tax the price is still good. As a single buyer I worked out a deal with Glen at Northridge Upgrade Motoring for:

F: 18 X 8.5, R: 18 X 9.5 with
235/40 , 255/35 Michelin Pilots for only $3350 out the door. That includes about $280 worth of sales tax! If you want to go with Toyo T1S's you can knock off an additional $120 or pay the same price and special order any color you want (such as black, silver, or Mag Blue!) So for an out of state buyer, you only pay $2950 + shipping for 18's and that price is for a solo buyer. We can get the price down even further if we organize a group buy. It is a lot of money, however, those who are serious about buying TE37's know that they are a quality rim and you get what you pay for.

Check out the group buy section and chime in if you're interested. If you want to check out the site or contact Glen, go to http://www.upgrademotoring.com for the contact information and list prices, NOT THE ACTUAL PRICES.

Thanks!

Seth, You're more or less likely not to find anything lower than $400 new, however if you're considering panasports I hear that they are pretty damn expensive too. If you change your mind about the TE-37's call me up, i know a place that won't charge you tax on them and guarantees teh lowest prices in the bay area

Do they make the te-37's in a 18*10"? I'm looking for a light rim that I can directly swap with my racing hart c-5's when I goto the track, this way I don't have to change my suspension setup everytime I want to have R compound tires on the car.

I think they do make an 18X10, but it is special order. You will have interference with that wide a rim though.
