used the calculator, just want to be sure...
I'm looking at buying 5zigen ZR+520's and the calculator said 18x8.5+25 18x9.5+37 would fit with 245's and 275's. My suspension is stock but I plan on buying coilovers sometime in the near future. Could I get up to 255's front and fit without rolling fenders? Will this work? Just need more than a program to say yes before I spend the $2k. Thanks in advance
+25 is pretty low, i had +35 on a 8.5 on a 245 a couple of wheel sets ago and although I did not need a fender roll I still rubbed. I really thinking your pushing it with the +24/8.5/245. It will fit, but it will rub and I dont know if you will need a roll or not.
any reason for the stagger? you can run 18x9.5 +37 all the way around. with a proper alignment, you can fit 285/30/18's up front, altho 255 would be a more reasonable suggestion.

I never really thought about running a 285 up front. That seems a little wide for what I'm going to get into. Although, being able to rotate tires would be nice... Think a 285 on the back would be really noticeable/excessive, compared to a 275 for primarily street use? I'm still running stock twins, about 275whp on a (mustang, i think) dyno...
You are definitely right. Thanks, I was looking at the rear wheel offset for the 18x8.5. The wheel I want doesn't come in a +38. It has a +47, which would put the outside clearance to .6". Will that look bad? The rear outside clearance is .2" in a +37.
It won't look horrible. If you are dead set on those wheels, you can always use a spacer on the front to get a little lower offset.
I like the concave look of the wheels, that's the look i'm going for. I'm open to suggestions if there are some comparable wheels, but I have definitely looked. I do wish they came in black. Maybe I could powdercoat them down the road if the metallic gunmetal isn't what I'm looking for. Would the spacer affect strength at all?
rpf1 look great i think. they are cheap, very light, and sorta concave (not convex anyway).
heres a pic of 18x9.5 +38 all around, with 285's. +45 also fits, and allows that extra 7mm of fender clearance.
it should be noted that tires do flex inward on hard cornering, so tires that appear to rub while sitting still may actually fit.

Anyone know where to get some enkei gtc01's cheaper than the $450+? Those things are nice... Might just get them anyway... Anyone think running 18x9.5 all around on the street is a bad idea?
Spacers are fine when done right. However, I still recommend finding a wheel that can work as desired without spaces.
IMO, I think you'd be better off with Enkei GTC01 17x9.0 / 5x114.3 / +40 (hyper black) all around.

I was thinking about 17's this morning... when I buy coilovers, I would probably rather have the extra inch to tune the suspension. 265's on the 9.0's or 275's?

IMO, there's not much need for more rubber on the streets (unless you are making some crazy power). If you need more traction, just get a stickier tire.
What aspect ratio are you running? I've been looking for tires that'll fit and mostly all I'm finding is 255/45r17.
Also, the calculator says the front outside is .07" with +40 offset. Cutting it a little close, no?

It also depends on your suspension setup, but IMO, fender rolling should be a requirement for aftermarket rims.
Did you roll your own or have it done? My friend that does it just moved to Arizona. I know how but am reluctant. I would be pretty pissed if I messed it up... The wheels would still look ridiculously good though
I didn't need the rear done, but I wish I just would have done it while I was there.
$20 sounds good to me. Hopefully I can line up the same kind of deal, that would be awesome. Are you running coilovers? Those 17's look real nice and tucked up in those fenders... If I roll mine I should probably wait until I figure out where I'm going with my suspension.
