Who has corner weighted their FC before? What is the weight on each corner that you guys found?
Please note whether you have an aluminum hood, what rims you have on the car, and whether you kept the a/c or not? Also if you have the T2 diff out back.
I have done an engine conversion and need baseline weights to decide which front springs I should get.
Most people I hear run 400lb springs up front.... and I'm thinking I will run 425/450lb springs as I think I'll have more weight to contend with.
Thanks for the replies guys,

Ground control used to recommend 425 / 275 (i believe), and are now recommending 375 / 250 or so. As I understand it, that's pretty damned stiff! Stock rates are around 130 - 150 lbs/inch, so that's a big difference!

yeah I have the ground control coil overs 375 / 250
and when you set the takikos to 4 its way stiff
i run the front right now on 3 and rear on 3 when on the street and when I take somone for ride they are like your car it to dang bumpy. I should turn it up to 5 and see if they got kidneys left after a few times around the block

has anyone corner weighted their car? I need some #'s at each corner.
If you guys are running 350lb springs up front... then a 400lb spring should suffice for me.
I just shed another 25lbs off of the front end of my car with a lightweight LT1 starter, and a/c plus p/s custom delete bracket.
I can't wait to weigh the sucker and see how porky the conversion is.
