Question Turbo Springs on an N/A for lowering?

Greetings all. I've got an 86 n/a, and I heard that getting a set of springs off a turbo is a good way of lowering the car slightly for not much money. Is this true? If this is true, anybody know where I can get a set for sale that isn't too old? Thanks a lot!

Nope, that won't do anything - the turbo and coupe springs should be the same thing...

"Heavy Duty" and "Stiff" are sometimes used by aftermarket parts manufacturers (usually brakes or suspension) to compare types of suspensions.&nbsp In actuality, all Turbo II/GXL models (in fact all 4-pot front brakes) are heavy duty/stiff suspension types.&nbsp Base models or anything with single-pot front brakes are not considered part of this group.

Springs are designed more for the weight of the car, and the only exception would be the convertibles, which weigh slightly more than the coupes.&nbsp The Base models run different design shocks, so the springs might not be compatible.

To add to that, will it be okay to use RB springs and T2 shocks on a Vert?

Funny thing all the manufacturers are worried about the extra weight on the vert, so all their spring applications say (EXCEPT CONVERTIBLE).&nbsp I sold my old set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs off my 1987 Turbo II to a guy who owned a 1988 vert - he installed them with no problem, and handling was a lot better than stock.&nbsp No problems with the added weight.&nbsp From that experience, I'd say go for it...
