I agree. I have these on my car. 13x7 wheels and 215/50 tires. It's a good tire with good traction. You can tell a difference between the stock wheel/tire combo with much more rubber on the road.

I'm running Kuhmo PowerStar 758's in the stock size. There comfy and dirt cheap. I got all four installed and filled with nitrogen for about 90, but I did my own labor ands got the tires at cost.

I have Sumitomo HTR-200 205/60-13s on my 84 RX-7 and they've been pretty good for me. They communicate well, good in transition, and are inexpensive to boot.

For my stock 13's, I get second hand BF Goodrich Comp TA's in a 205/60-13. I get them from a guy who sells used race tires. These are *slightly* used Legend car series tires. Not available to the general public. VERY stiff sidewalls.
For $10-15 each, I don't mind the odd wear patterns, as they are generally 75% or better tread left. Especially since I only use them at AutoX and open track events, and run my 15x7's the rest of the time.

From my work. Even at what we would charge the customer, they would still come in under $150 for four tires.

Which ones? They only have 3 or more different tires sold under the cooper cobra name.
Cooper Cobra GT (S speed rating), which is about the same as a BFG Radial TA. White letter, all season, basic tire.
Cobra ZPT (H or higher speed rating), a high performance all season.
Cobra 2XS (H or higher), a Max perfomance summer tire.
Of the 3, I think only the GT is even made in a 13".

The GT. I just saw that in the for sale ad a few threads down and I've never heard of that tire before.
