Tire size recommendation please
Tire size recommendation please
Hey fellas,
So I have a set of wheels on the way which are 18x8 +37F and 18x9 +38R for my FD. I wanted some recommendations on tire sizes since I'm not sure what side wall size I should be running with 18's. Correct me if I am wrong but I was planning to go for:
235/35/18 fronts and 265/35/18 rears. Do you guys think I can get a taller side wall tire? The car is lowered on Eibach Pros. All help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Justin
P.S. My main concern is to make sure the speedo is reading right.

My rims are 18x8.5 front 18x9.5 back. I used 245/40/zr18 for the front and 265/35 zr18 for the back. I have pics under my garage on my profile. You'll have to break up a set so you'll pay more for tires which might not be the same kind depending on what set up you go. You also won't be able to rotate them. Make sure you roll up your front fenders or they will start to come out and damage your tires. If you have anymore questions pm me. Hopefully this helps.

265/35 is good for the rear. Your speedo will only be off by ~ 1 mph by 100 mph or so.
For the front, the correct sizes would be 225/40 or 235/40. You'll get a little more understeer, but 225/40 would be a safer fitment with that offset and the lowering springs.

hm im running 245/45 on front and rear on stock rims, suspension lowered on rs-r race springs..
any reason that u're recommending 225 in front on fadedfd's car other than for fitment?
