Is there a major difference between stock sway bars and aftermarket?
I am wondering if anyone could tell me whether or not the difference between stock sway bars and aftermarket ones such suspension tech and racing beat is everything it's hyped up to be by the companies selling them?

sure sway bars are like long springs that attach both wheels together(front or back)so if you toss your car hard, that long spring reacts from being pushed or twisted on one side of the car,and so it pushes back. that bar twist, plants the other wheel, preventing the car from leaning over in the corner the thicker the sway bar the more you can lean on it ,and the flatter it will corner. but,the sway bars have to be matched to the application, as well as balanced front and rear, too strong a bar on the front end and you will suffer from understeer, too strong a rear bar and you will suffer from to much oversteer which i like to call (happy ***)so to answer you, yes they can make huge improvements, but like all mods you may have to play with your shocks,as well as your springs for your best set up, I will give you this from an old german race car builder. For best performance on the track spring 'em soft and shock 'em hard.

I've run stock, Racing Beat, and Respeed swaybars. I can tell you that they are probably one of the single best handling improvements that you can make to a car.
The difference from stock to RB was great, and from RB to Respeed was even greater (hollow bar, heim joint end links).
Money well spent!
