Thanks for the wheel suggestions: the winner is...

After much deliberation, I've decided on Kinesisw. Below are some pics of the rear wheel only- was testing for fitment. Sizes are 18x10 front wiht 285-30 P-Zeros, 18x11 rear with 295-30 P-Zeros.

Here's a shot of the new setup on the left compared to the old 17x9s with 255s:

Thanks. Yeah, they are a little pricey, about $5,200 with tires.

Looks AWESOME Gene... thanks for not buying the RG-R's :-)

Post some spec's on those 11" rears: Offset?, fenders rolled?, coilovers?, trailing/toe links?

No problem, I couldn't do that to you Peter.

Fenders are not rolled, but probably need to be if hard cornering is in order. Yes, coilovers with 2.5" springs, M2 trailing arms and toe links, offset is +48.

Check out the 18x11 thread...

Regards,

Gene

I think yours can be considered the "ultimate" street wheel fitment. An inch bigger all around than mine, wow. I might see if CCW can replicate for me for track wheels. Mmmm... 315/30 Hoosiers.

I seriously thought about kenesis for street wheels, but after owning a set of Fikses and wanting to commit hari kari after the third time the lips needed polishing, and cleaning around the rim pieces, I decided i needed something easier! Good luck with that!

Don't you already have CCW track wheels? If so, you might be able to just get new rim halves. I know a few folks running 305-30 Hoosiers (rear) on 18x11. That's actually the reason I went with 11s. Folks I spoken with like the larger sidewall and traction characteristics over the 285-30 as breakaway is more predictable. Use the 285s on the front for crisp turn-in

Nope... i've been tracking on street tires! The only track tires i've ever tried were one weekend on Crispy's dead 255/40 A032s at VIR.

I need to line some up before this season.

gfelb,

email me with the exact specs of the kinesis wheels you ordered and the price. It's been a while since we've ordered from Kinesis but I do have an account. I'm gonna send my wheels in and ask for sponsorship as they will go on our Time Attack FC later this year.

I will be more than happy to see if I can get you a deal on the second set.

For track do you want a lighter wheel? What diameter?
