TEIN's "chirp"

My TEIN's, set where they are now (8clicks from hard in rear, 6 clicks from hard in front), emit a single chirp like a cricket when driving over medium sized bumps.

I assume that's normal and I kinda like it, just curious if that is normal with aftermarket setups, just the TEIN's, or just mine...

Did you get pillowball mounts? If so that could be a reason as well. But, Johnny's right. You always pay a price for performance. hehe.

Rishie

Was it worth it? Definitely. Can you work Porsches and Ferraris that would have cost three to four times more. Definitely. hehe. I love the rotary.

I get a small chirp as well, Tein HA's with the stock mounts. I'm having the car's suspension set up on Monday morning (corner weighting it) so everything is going to get a go through to make sure it's installed correctly and staying together. I wasn't sure if it was my Tein's or the M2 toe/trailing links or even the larger swaybar.

No chirp from mine. I've got the pillow mounts as well. I have the fronts set on 12 and the rears set on 10.
Now you have to get a HKS SSBOV to go along with the noise.

How low can you set the TEIN HA's to be? and How soft is the softest setting compared to an R1 setup?

That low enough for ya??? And they could go lower, but why would you want to???
And they go from nice and soft (Like a Caddy) to hard as you want!

I'll have to measure to be exact. Its pretty damn low, I just got it so it looks nice all the way around and looks almost tucked in.
I run 17's all four corners.

I dropped mine 1 1/2" in the rear and about 3/4" in the front with my TEIN's. Could have gone lower but I like how it ended up and I don't have to be tooo careful with driveways, etc.

There are a wholebunch more pics @ http://flathat.woodstream.net/RX7 if you haven't seen them already, and the collection is always growing...

If the dates are before March 30th (P330 in the image name) you can see the look of the car with stock suspension and various wheel combinations, etc...
