TEIN springs...... KONI struts, what perch setting??????

I have TEIN springs on the FD, and just bought a set of KONI yellows and am installing them tomorrow.

What i need to know is what is my best position to set the perch at on the struts? It looks like the back may sit higher then the front in stock form, but then again my struts are F'd up.

Any feed back would be great.....

no no no, take it from me. I was told top front, middle back. but the back sits too low with that set-up. I'll try and post some pics to show you when I had them on. I had them on for maybe a month, didn't like the ride. so ya heads up, top front, and top back, it'll even it out.

what if i went with the middle on front and middle back? Give it a bit more of an agressive stance but still keep it even.

That's where I would start, middle F/R. It's not like it's set in stone once you do it. If you don't like it, put the car up on your stands and change. it.

Especially since TEIN springs like to sag over time. Then you can go to the top perch LOL. Don't you love your Konis? HAHA I'm going to the top perches soon. H&R springs make FD's pretty low...

Ill soon find out Just having troubles getting the front struts in...... the bottoms of them dont seem to want to squeeze into the alum A arms grrrrrrrrrr.

As for sagging......where did you read this? Never heard of that myself. And i believe from when i did my hoemwork years ago on springs, TEIN had the stiffest rate and sat the lowest, but i could be wrong

Not sure if I can explain this correctly but...

There are little sliding aluminum spacer things in the lower control arm shock mount holes that slide in/out as you tighten the bottom shock bolt. You'll have push these back into the lower control arm in order to slide the shock in. I think the FSM has a good diagram of this. Take a good hard look at them and hopefully you'll see what I'm talking about.
