Tein Flex coil-overs are 16-way adjustable with a cool little Greddy Profec-B lookin' device. It works baddass. My friend had em' on his 240 and the pressure is adjusted instantly. Softed setting, he could lean on the side of the car and it would squat...hardest setting...wouldn't budge one bit.

I THINK they're the Flex coil-overs.. Pretty sure.

I want them myself. Stock is no fun.

Are these HT's streetable in the relative sense? My guess is they aren't. But how do these compare to the Flex's?

Are you aware that those coilovers have 1100 lb-in springs front AND rear? I hope you enjoy oversteer. They look sexy, though.

OVER STERR IS YUMMY! Anywasy yes I am they are. The Car is being made for track purpose. Though I can counter the over steer by adjusting the front dampers' rebound and bound correctly. It's allll inhow you set these puppiese UP! THE FREEDOM AND VERSATILITY OF THE HT!

Yeah the spring rate will definitely harshen the Ride a bit on the streets but other than that I menamy *** has enough fat on it to pad it and make it a bit more comfortable. Hell if I wanted to I coud order softer springs anyday. Might even do so later on.

I suggest you read all of Howard Coleman (22+ year SCCA racing veteran) posts in the above thread, especially the posts regarding spring rate.

yeah the EDFC is the ultimate kit ever. Fully adjustable from the driver seat via a button. Price is probably like 4500.00 or something right?

Actually the Spring rate is 1010lbs is what is says and I can believe it. Its obvious these Springs are made for grippppy slicks and I will most likely orders a few diffrent sets of springs from tein next spring, yes they make replaceable springs, thats why tein is so awsome they have tons of springs to choose from. I have also read up plenty on suspension setups liek howard coleman's thread rynberg, I wouldn't just go forth and get HTs like that. What I wanted out of the HTs was the double adjustability. But Like I said the HTs are made to be run with STICKy *** slicks and auto X tracks obviously hence the gymkhana master name. Am I professional no, not even close I admit. But I still take everything one step at a time very carefulyl with tons of research.

here is a quote from Howard Coleman in that thread. Good luck with them! Post back on how they do at the track!

Nice looking coilovers though

i consider 560/450 to be the upper end of an acceptable aggressive street/track spring rate.

if you want to run something higher than that rate try pumping up your tires to 75 pounds and go for a drive. it won't be pretty. It also will not be fast.

Stiff is not fast. Stiff is sliding around, overheating/grinding up your tires, or having your tires see alot of air time as they bounce over the bumps. An overly stiffly sprung car might give the appearance of fast as it responds faster to steering inputs but as soon as the suspension loads the tire is in over it’s head and loses grip.

Increased roll stiffness from higher spring rate does not change the amount of lateral load transfer in a corner. It merely speeds up the time in which the load transfers making it more difficult for the driver to drive at the edge of control. Watch the restart of NASCAR race as the drivers warm up their tires… notice how free the cars are, how they roll…

I read that a while back. But liek I said I will most likely be getting softer springs in the spring.

That is assuming that there is enough range for bump and rebound to account for the softer springs. As they are currently valved for the stiffer spring rates.

Thats true but i can have them revalved for around 200.00 but with 16 way adjustability I am not too sure I'll have to we will see.

They may be fine, they may not. What ArcWelder was trying to explain is that "16 way" doesn't have anything to do with the range of valving the damper is capable of operating over, you merely have 14 steps in between fully soft and fully hard for that given valving. If that given valving is not in the realm of what the spring needs you're still out of luck.

Right, thanks for clarifying. Just to add a data point, I have Drummond Motor Sport shocks that are seperately adjustable for compression and rebound. They're valved seperately for each particular spring rate front and rear.

Front: Spring rate 550lbs.
Rebound adjustment range is 375 to 510
Compression adjustment range is 200 to 260
Rear: Spring rate is 450lbs.
Rebound adjustment range is 340 to 435
Compression adjustment range is 160 to 200
