Tein HAs vs struts/springs
it is finally time for me to start looking for my first suspension mod. I don't know wether I should go low end coilovers or konis/tokicos & springs.
95% of my car time is street use, with the remaining 5% split between autoX/road tracks & 1/4 mile races. I am looking to drop the car & make the handleing firm up as much as I can. I am unwilling to give up any handleing in order to drop the car... looks are not as important as performance.
is the Tein HA kit good quality? will it last? I really don't know why it is so much cheaper then the rest of the kits at Jason's store & other places. I am assuming it is fully adjustable as other kits are?
one last question: is installation time/difficulty equal for coilovers & strut/spring?
what do you all think?

I have been shopping at autoimaging for a while now. I like the guys there, but they are much more of a sylvia shop. a couple of the guys that work there drive fds, but they don't seem to stock much for this car. but, it is a cool shop. for the most part they are very friendly... I will get my suspension from either Ari at rx7.com or Jason, depending on what setup I decide to go with......

the Type HA is 24 clicks adjustable, it a very well designed coil over kit. The spring rate is what most professional road racer runs on their cars.
Other options also available, such as FLEX, RE, or RA... They might be silght more expensive, but they are very high quality suspensions.
I got my suspension from OSdesigns, I am very happy with my Type RE. You could pm him for very competitive pricing...
good luck

I got mine from osdesigns as well. I was happy with them and they are of good quality. They rode well in the streets, and I might even go for a more "hardcore" set on my next car. (Sold the FD)
