SuperPro Bushing Veterans

It's been a long history with bushings for the FD on this forum, first the Jimlab squeakers, than the delrins with colored zip ties, both of which are commonly re-sold on the classifeds....now SuperPros, which seem to be the "ultimate" standard? All the benefits with none of the drawbacks?

Questions:

1. Did you use a high quality waterproof grease to install? Any other tips?
2. Are zerks ever need with polyurethane?
3. Has anyone had to remove/re-grease?

Thanks for your time

1. It comes with grease, not sure what kind, but if you use anything else they would void the warranty or something.
2. I didn't use them for the bushings, wasn't needed
3. Still works fine to this day.

Thanks. Did you take it to a shop or DIY? If a shop did the work, how much was the labor?

throw your car up on 4 jack stands and take all your suspension components out. Take them to a shop with a press and have them push the old ones out and new ones in. Cheaper and better.

If you get upgraded trailing arms/ toe links do you not need bushing for them right?

If you take your car to a shop and have them do all the work, be prepared to pay $500+ for labor. It's a lot of work to do all of the bushings. You should buy new rear pillow ***** & dust boots for them as well so you can get those done at the same time as the Super Pro kit.

This would be cheaper. Its not hard to remove the suspension components buts its time consuming. I'd guess you'd end up paying around $200-$350 to have everything pressed out/in at a shop.

Nope. Those bushings are about $400 with dust boots from Malloy Mazda.

Those upgraded pieces will come with their own bushings. The SuperPro kit bushings wont fit them.

quick tip if doing the sway bars.
wrap the sway bar in teflon tape (the stuff used for pipe fittings and such) where it goes inside of the sway bar bushing. it eliminates the need for grease, and will last indeffinately.

I know a guy who did the just the rears for $200, but I had spare suspension arms and I had him put the bushings in. Then I installed them myself afterward.

Yea i did a full install of super pro bushings every single one they sell for the 7, i have a local shop push all the old ones out and put the new ones in they work great still fine only had them about a year though, but i went with solid trailing arms/ tie rods for the rear, Much better than any bushing.

Debatable (in terms of bang for the buck)...I just paid $500 shipped for the full SuperPro kit from a club vendor, and I have aftermarket sways/ bushings anyway

i have all the super pro bushings aswell, everyone made for the fd.....
comes with its own grease, havent had a problem with them yet....
i had my car stripped so the suspension was all ready taken apart.. shop wanted like 300+ which i thought was a little rediculous to pop out a few bushings (had half of them previously popped out with my fiends 10 ton? press..) seeing that it wasnt that hard i spent the money on a 20 ton press instead of labor. in the end i ahve the same results, slightly cheaper, gained expierence/knowledge and a handy 20 ton press!

I retract my earlier statement.... You are correct. The SuperPro kit does come with the fronts. There is a comparison at the bottom of the page on the link I posted. With aftermarket bars, it would be likely better to purchase the SuperPro kit.
