ok i forgot what the ring and pinon i got a while back is so how do i figure it out... i count the teeth on the ring and devid them by the pinon teeth?

 

Thats correct. But you could just do some research online, and find out just as easily. If there was more than one for that year you should probably look for specific markings on the housind that should Indentify what you have (but maybe thats just domestic cars)
