Putting on a used set of Stance GR+'s on my FC, but not sure if the currently set height is where it should be/where I will want it.. Anyone have a set of instructions I could reference?? Looks like the perch can go up down, and not sure where it should be. Thanks!

are you having trouble putting them on our just with the height? if you know how to put them on but just aren't sure of how low you want it to be just put them on and then put the wheels back on and then adjust accordingly. you can get them pretty leveled out on your own. they are going to settle so your going to have to readjust regardless. your also going to need to take it somewhere to get it corner balanced. just let me know if you have any other questions. im running gr+ pros on my fd right now. hope this helps

Install is a snap, no issues there.

The specific question I have is how high to set the lower knuckle mount? The coilovers on my Miata aren't adjustable that way, so no idea. The previous owner had (it appears) them slammed to max camber (and was into drift, which I am not.. this car is for street/open track) so second guessing his height and settings.

It looks like the purpose of the lower mount adjustability is to maximize the stroke, right? So I would assume I want to push that up to roughly the right height and then fine tune with the lower spring perch, correct?

just start from scratch, loosen the upper lock collar and spring perch till the spring droops, then snug it up so you have no droop but no preload either. If you think they are too low for your tastes spin the lower mount to expose another inch or so of threads on the shock body. measure the distance between the two locking collars to make sure you are even side to side and then install and test fit. If you want to change the height loosen the lower locking collar and make your adjustment down there without messing with the spring pre-load/droop.

Got it.. set the spring to just snug.. I've got the fronts set at the highest setting without preload, but wont be able to set the actual height until Monday after I swap the rear end and get the new driveshaft in, but want to have it ready.

Side note: does anyone have a stock FC ride height measurement for ground to body seam?? So I have a point of reference..

I usually set my ride height at 25" from ground to top of fender arch.

How does 25" relate to stock? Set both front and rear to 25" also?

I'm set at 25" in the rear and 24.25" front in these pics:





I lifted the front to right about 24.75 because of rubbing on the top of the wheel well.


When adjusting the front I usually measure the amount of the shock body sticking out the bottom.

That helps a ton, thanks!! I found some photos showing what appears to be 'original" Stance height, going to start there and work up/down as needed..

The biggest challenge I will have is exhaust clearance, it hangs 1-1.5" lower than the frame boxes... I may not be able to go quite as low.
